Hearing Aid

My mother-in-law bought hearing aids from Advanced Hearing in Moline for approximately $6,000, 5 years ago. They were not working recently so I called and set up an appointment to see if they could fix them. I also asked what the price would be since she is on a very limited income. The repair tech told me , no charge, these hearing aids have a lifetime warranty. Oh wow!! Fantastic I thought. Then they sent a $550 repair bill. I called and spoke with the owner Mike to try to get the bill reduced so that I could pay it for my mother-in-law who can only afford $5 a month out of her $90 allowance. Mike, the owner of Advanced Hearing, was completely unsympathetic and stated he didn’t care how long it took this 85 year old senior to pay the bill!!! He said he would just keep adding interest monthly!! A real gem of a guy!! He also stated his repair person NEVER said they had a lifetime warranty and that there would be no charge. ( which he did, and the officer manager confirmed by saying the repair person was referring to the visit not the repair— how convenient to leave out the details) He took her $6000 very easily. But when it came time to compromise ZERO. Don’t do business with this greedy senior citizen robber!!! She had hearing aids prior to this that worked fine from miracle ear. Never an issue. The sales person for Advanced Hearing convinced her they would help her hear clearer and be less noticeable. Also not true. Mike, the owner of this business has no compassion for an 85 year old disabled woman who he took advantage of- BE AWARE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCUM

The audiologist was very helpful and friendly until the time we wanted a night to think about which one we were going to move forward with. He was disrespectful and rude because we didn't purchase one right then and there. He insinuated we wouldn't be in for 2 more years because we had "no sense of urgency". We were totally ready up until that point. We now will be giving our business to another audiologist in town.

My experience with Molly Parker of Parker Audiology was extremely satisfying. She did an excellent job of explaining what she was trying to accomplish by fitting me with my hearing aid. Molly was very thorough in her initial exam and in the appointments that followed. I feel she is very knowledgeable and I trust in her care.
