I have been having problems with my Starkey hearing aids. I emailed Starkey and they provided three local vendors, each of which I contacted. Hear on Earth was the only one that replied, Debbie, and provided pricing if the devices had to be sent in for factory service. I visited their place, was greeted nicely, and the person took my aids and tried to fix them on spot. Debbie tried other fixes before recommending they be sent out for service. She didn't require immediate payment but I did that, anyway. She offered to apply the service cost to new aids should there be further problems. Bottom line: Nice people, Great service.

I live in Greenville, North Carolina and was going to visit my son in Salt Lake City, Utah. My hearing aides weren't functioning correctly and I thought maybe a hearing specialist in Utah might be able to help me. I called Audibel Hearing Center in West Jordan, Utah to see if they could help me. The receptionist was wonderful and I spoke to David Ruark, who said he would be willing to help me. I was arriving on a Saturday and the receptionist set up an appointment for Monday, so I could have my two week visit hearing well. I saw David Ruark on the Monday, and in just a short and wonderful session, he had my aides working properly. He is just a wonderful and caring person to see a person from out of state and fix there hearing aids. If I ever move to Utah or need new hearing aides, he is the man I will surely see. The representative from Truhearing was extremely helpful from explaining the benefits, referring to an office near my home, to scheduling an appointment, to following up the experience. Accent on Hearing is the office I chose. The personnel were professional with highly skilled. The entire experience helped me transition to using hearing aids.

House if hearing, the entire group of stores are amazing! The front staff are friendly even when new staff members are hired/shifted from store to store. (Plus BONUS! free soda in the waiting area) The sound testing is great when they take the time to do the testing to my hearing loss' advantage. IE a later in day female audiologist who took the time to fit my ears with test equipment to favor the tinnitus I have so I felt I scored higher then usual. A little put off on the last test though as the audiologist entered late, set me up with the bogus hard headphones to test my hearing (which is improving as I can understand my baby now, and can hear from my right ear too), yet the test was run so fast as if his being late needed to rush everything else in the day. Other than that single less then favorable experience I've always felt as if the crew were out for allowing my hearing loss to be managed, treated, and improved like I was a family member. PS speakers set at the END of the tube from the hearing instrument is imperative to giving the Hard of Hearing the best chance of understanding. PPS I wish my loss were the kind I could have the in the canal aids The House of Hearing offers, so I could shower and hear at the same time. Thank you HofH for giving me a hearing chance in this loud world.
