Home Builder

Such a cool company!

We met Sam at the Home Show along with probably a dozen other GCs. We had them all come through and bid our full condo renovation. We liked Sam from the start and he compared favourably to all the others in all aspects, so we chose him to run our reno. I can't say everything went smoothly (I don't think anything like this ever does, especially with as much custom stuff as we wanted) but Sam made sure the process was a pleasant one for us as he stayed on top of everything until it was right. Great communicator and super responsive. One of my favorite things was the full transparency: There were bills for everything, negotiated discounts were passed on to us, and deficiencies reduced our cost and were fully fixed. I will definitely be calling on Sam the next time we renovate or build. I can't imagine a better general contractor.

Nice to work here!

Don't was working there

Good customer service but they subcontract everything and cut costs on the finishes. The finish is very cheap and doesn’t last as long!

We purchased a Qualico Home in 2008 on 60th Ave Surrey and went with the upgrade appliance package which included a gas stove. At final inspection we noticed they had installed an electric stove and here's the issue , a Fridgidaire Microwave and fan. This set up had just passed inspection. When they realized they're mistake they called in a gas fitter and installed the gas oven but did not remove the microwave with its wimpy fan. We realized later that this would not meet code because of a lack of SCFM air suction. A proper hood fan should have been installed for the gas stove. Another issue is the poorly identified main breaker panel. It's a guessing game trying to kill the power to change a simple light switch in the bedroom. Though this is our fault we bought this house without any linen closet. It was called a computer corner instead. It's my belief that Qualico do not use very good sub contractors or at least back then. Other issues are nail pops in the drywall, if they had used screws this probably wouldn't be an issue. We paid a lot of money for this home at the time but all we got at best was an ok home nothing more.

We love our home. Workers are really nice and seem to really care. You won't be disappointed with buying a home built from BYK

I have been a flooring supplier to wallmark homes for the past 14 years. From the first project that I have dealt with them out in Maple Ridge, to all the custom homes I do for them, they have always had a great deal of proffessionalism, and attention to detail. Customer satisfaction is their number one priority. From the sales team, design team, project managers, and site supervisors, it is a very well run and organized company. I highly reccommend wallmark homes as a custom home builder.

We were introduced to Alair Delta, Peter Nielsen, by our designer SGDI. There were two contractors who submitted a detail plan and an estimate to us at that time. Our family decided to go with Alair Delta and we were very happy with Peter and the entire Alair team, and the outcome of their work. The project started right away as soon as both parties signed the agreement. It was dead in the winter with snow and ice, and the weather was grim with repeated rain days and nights. Alair team and our project manager Travis was there every day supervising the work and the trades relentlessly. It moved along very well until the renovation was completed. The delivery was a little delay due to a few undecided decisions on our part, but we were nonetheless extremely delighted to see how our home had transformed and how beautiful it is now compare to before it was renovated. Peter is professional, always keeps his promises, accommodating, and very easy to work with and talk to. His positive energy and outlook, and enthusiasm can be felt by everyone around him throughout the entire project. Peter and my son become good friends and I have nothing but only great things to say about Alair Delta. There are a few surprises that Alair had delivered with no cost attached to it. Alair charges the profit margin higher than other contractors/builders (partly due to its franchising rate) but the quality of their work in all aspects had exceeded our expectations. Travis, our project manager, was very approachable, friendly, detail-oriented, a great listener, and very accommodating to our needs as well. Peter delivered exactly what we want in our home, and is willing to go extra miles to make some changes to accommodate our wishes. Peter and Travis were both very calm when problems arise. We were not so sure what our home would be like if we went with the other contractor. Fortunately we chose Alair Delta and we have come to love Peter and his team. The entire process was overwhelming but with Alair Delta, it was not as stressful as we had initially imagined. We feel strongly that we can trust Peter and his team to carry out the work with integrity week after week. And of course we have Peter and Travis to thank for, for their dedication, quality workmanship, trustworthy, and professionalism. A heartfelt thank you to both Peter and Travis for making our dream home come true.

Very professional. Call Todd if you want your dream home to come true!
