Recreation programs are not as its best. Rec Manager forbids residents from the dementia ward not to attend to entertainment events on the main level floor. All residents in the building is invited to events like this. She chooses for them not to go when residents have the right to choose of their choice! They have dignity too!

The staff at Kopernik Lodge provide great care to my uncle Frank. They are always very warm and friendly when we go to visit, and we appreciate all they do! The facility is older, but a clean and comfortable environment for residents and visitors.

Home Instead provides the flexibility and catered 1:1 care that our family depends on. It's important to our family and we appreciate the on going support and for always trying to improve the care for our Mom. Thank you!

Working at Royalty Healthcare was like working with families. The management was always helpful and guided me to be a better worker. Royalty healthcare always made sure their clients meet its needs and expectations. Same to its employees. The only cons for me it was quite far from my place so I had to went tru long commute everytime ( I wasnt driving then) to went to clients house, but if I had problems like this, most of the time the managment helped by driving me to and from clients house. Overall I was so happy I had worked with royalty .

Retire-At-Home provided excellent support for my elderly mother while I was travelling. Fiona did a thorough in-home assessment of her needs and matched a compatible caregiver. Mom was delighted with Julia who was thoughtful, caring and hardworking, and a self-starter with any task that needed doing. Fiona sent me email progress reports while I was away. Honestly, not many people are aware that private home care is unregulated in the province of BC! Living Well has "Accreditation with Commendation" status, which means that organization is working hard to meet standards of care. When you call around , ask HOW does the organization ensure quality of care? I would strongly recommend someone like Living Well, a company that has a strong team and nursing support.
