I have never stayed in such a clean hotel room!!! And I’ve stayed in many, many, many hotels! Yes they are small, but it’s Toronto. It’s bigger than what you get in NYC for the most part. Everything was organized and space maximized. The bathroom was perfectly spotless and beautiful, the decor is fresh and lovely, and no carpets that never get cleaned like in most hotel rooms! There was coffee and a mini fridge in the room. The staff was very friendly. Made me sad I was only in town for 24 hours and couldn’t stay longer! Location is amazing, 5 minute walk to Eaton centre and restaurants, and close to subway/public transportation. I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel and will absolutely stay here again!!!

Worse room ever. The room was filthy, the sheets not changed and had cigarette holes in them. I asked for new sheets and a blanket to replace the dirty ones and they manage to give me other sheets in the same state! The room also felt like it was falling apart. Only one electrical outlet and it was almost hanging off the wall. I actually did not stay, checked out and went to another hotel. It will have cost me 140$ to learn a good lesson. I'm passing it free. Your welcome

Very quiet, clean, and comfortable apartment in great location. We had all amenities we could wish for. The kitchen was fully equipped and we prepared our meals several times. Bed was very comfortable, had lots of pillows and a nice duvet. Located near shops and supermarkets. Food court and lots of take out places nearby. Street car stop and subway station were few minutes away. We had a great stay in Toronto thanks to Canada Suites on Bay and will recommend this place to friends and family. Review by RodenReviews

I hope this will stay as the WORST costumer experience ever! We had booked a room to spend one night to see the Mapple Leafs hockey team play at Air Canada Center. After waiting a long time for the receptionist to come (we had to wait 20 minutes despite the reception being within opening hours), we saw that there was a price difference between what the booking said we will pay, and what he wanted to charge on the credit card, and asked what is this difference about. The guy went ballistic, saying that we should go somewhere else if we have a problem with such a small difference of price anyways, and that we don't appreciate the offer. There was no way to interrupt him as he was in a tirrade of verbal aggression towards us. Prior to that, they took a scan copy of my credit card, saying that this is normal, despite me protesting that this not a practice anywhere, and I've tried hotels and guest houses in over 60 countries on all continents. Now I am monitoring my bank account to see if they are trying to misuse my credit card. Stay here only if you are on the tightest possible budget and can tolerate the worst costumer service I ever experienced.

Friendly staff, breakfast was good and was kept well-stocked by the staff. The rooms are in the process of being renovated, it seems. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was good, but AC was pretty loud. Should be pretty good when they're finished.

The rooms were a bit small but, being on downtown Toronto, you'll hardly be in the room at all !!! It's easy to walk to tourist attractions, the subway is down the block, it's around great restaurants and stores and the service is top notch. The rooms were clean. No complaints, I'd stay here again.

Worker at the desk was very nice and accommodating. The room itself was basic, but really good for it's price. Everything was freshly clean, but the room did smell a little weird. TV is provided in the room, free WiFi, nice shower, but no toiletries provided. Bed isn't very comfortable, but again considering the price it was to be expected.

Stayed for 2 nights at this place. Overall a very nice price/quality option. Rooms are proper and stuff is easy to deal with. Beds are of medium hardness and pillows are very nice and soft. Internet is 2 Mbits/s down and 0.6 Mbits/s up (just good for basic browsing). The location is very good in terms of vicinity to major attractions, although one can see occasionally homeless and feel uncomfortable at night. If this is the case, the best street to reach the hotel is via Gerrard St E passing through Ryerson University campus. In terms of minuses considering the hotel budget nature, there was a slight humidity smell in the room (the facility is renovated old building) and mediocre view from the window. Overall choose this hotel if you are on a tight budget and not very picky

Great hotel, free upgrade to a nice suite. Rooms are well insulated so we were able to play music loudly. The A/C units are very strong and overall the experience has been great. The Internet has been rather slow but that is about it. Better than most expensive hotels I have stayed at.

WARNING! BED BUGS! PUNAISES DE LIT! My girlfriend and I stayed at Clarence Castle last weekend. I woke up with bed bugs bites the next morning. We were staying in a dorm with a filthy grey carpet. The next day, we moved to a double room in another building a few doors away also belonging to Clarence Castle. The cleaning guy brought us bed sheets and when I unfolded them, I discovered a living bed bug it the clean bed sheet. I killed it and I brought it to the manager who told me: "I wonder where you take them from". This was very insulting. The only thing he did about the first room where I got bitten was to take out the mattress to inspect it and kill bed bugs. He did not seem to take the problem seriously. What about the remaining of the room and what about bed bugs eggs!
