We interviewed four other high-end kitchen remodel companies, and were just not feeling comfortable that any of them would be right for us. Then a co-worker mentioned that they had just completed a project (and were VERY HAPPY) with Ken at the Original Kitchen Master, so we met with Ken at his Farmington office. Within two minutes of meeting Ken I knew that we had found “the guy”! Now, six months later, our kitchen is GORGEOUS, FUNCTIONAL, AND PERFECT. Literally, we wouldn’t change a thing!!! But just as important, the experience of dealing with Ken and his entire staff was superb. Having built our own home 19 years ago, remodeled kitchens at a prior house as well as our cottage, and various other major home improvement projects over the years, we are well acquainted with the anxieties of such projects. Kitchen Master was BY FAR the best home construction/improvement experience we have ever had. They started on time, finished on time, were respectful of our home, mindful of our budget, worked with us to solve the inevitable issues that came up, etc., etc. I cannot recommend them highly enough! While I’m at it, I want to mention our Thermador kitchen appliances supplier, Specialties Showroom in Royal Oak (Jim Rysdorp); they were also great! THANK YOU KEN and your whole team!!!

I had my kitchen backsplash installed in two days with Miracle Dream Homes. They were on time, professional, and did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend.

It is difficult to write a review for Oakwood because some people will find it hard to believe. Our family hired Oakwood to do home renovations and even though I live in the west end of Ottawa it was worth my while to drive to Orleans to see their stunning design center. They were very organized and have a systemized process for everything. If you don’t like process or would rather “wing it”, there are many other renovators out there for you to take a chance on, we simply did not want to take the risk and did not have time to watch over them. We were very happy with their organization and the work was first rate. They did exactly what they said they would do. About 6 months after they were finished I contacted Oakwood because we had a problem in our kitchen. Our double steel sinks had dropped about four inches under the granite countertop which caused the sink to leak, leaving us in a very messy, bad situation. I called oakwood and within a few hours they had a service tech at my home and the problem was resolved in no time. He was one of the nicest guys you could have asked for. Very polite, explained everything in detail. Plus on top of it all the job was very well done. I thought my wife was going to ask him to dinner. The most impressive part of this was that the granite tops and sinks were not installed originally by Oakwood, yet they still took care of me. They exceeded our expectations. The first number I will call if I ever decide to do more work around your house will be to Oakwood.

They didn't respond once we asked about their license.

If I could give a zero star review, I would. They didn’t maintain the property, didn’t fix any issues we had (spider infestation, cracked tiling, broken fridge, no screen door etc), didn’t answer any emails, phone calls, or letters sent. Refused to let us out of our lease due to not fixing any issues, smoking in the building, refusing to contact us. By far worst place I’ve ever lived.

Mondeau is a great place for Kitchen and Plumbing. They have a great selection of products on the floor but also additional selection through the catalogue. The staff is friendly and helpful. Went to Mondeau in Gatineau and Ottawa East (off Innes)

We recently completed a remodeling of our kitchen through Kurtis and are very pleased with the results. Everyone we worked with was extremely competent, knowledgeable and dedicated to making our experience the best it could be. Any time we had questions or concerns, they were always addressed in a timely manner. We will definitely choose Kurtis for our next project.

Complete Kitchen Renovation We found Amitaf Construction online and hired them to renovate our kitchen. Ahmed and his team took care of everything, which was great because we didn't want any headaches. Our new kitchen looks amazing and we love using it every day. We highly recommend Amitaf Construction, thanks for everything!

Very disappointed in scheduling and the workers showing up on time. We hired them a few years back to do a bathroom remodel and it was great. Now we went back for a smaller job and they really had little interest in doing the job or scheduling it. I am not sure what has changed there, but it is very disappointing.
