Great training environment, friendly and knowledgeable coaches. Perfect for raw beginners or advanced students. Lots of great classes to choose from.

While the classes were great, I was told I can do a six month subscription instead of of a year. After six months I was still being charged and they denied ever agreeing to a six months contract. If you can't do six months, that's fine, but please don't tell potential students otherwise to trick them into signing up.

We have been attending Pelham Bay Karate Academy now for 2 years we absolutely love it. They are professional, clean, kind, caring, and highly experienced. Sinsai John, is excellent with the kids, and they all adore him. I highly recommend them. His wife Chris, is also very sweet and welcoming.. They are the best in the area, skill wise, and the studio is immaculate and spacious!!!

Best experince I ever had in my life. Learning this art gave me strenght I always knew I had within. Although I was surprised I much was actually within. I developed a great sense of self control, my ability to study and retain for school grew. Working forward to develop speed, confidence and power to walk this earth I have achieved. I have attend this place for a few years. On my first impression, it seems like a pretty decent dojo. At first, he was motivated to actually teach. Now, he is just a money greedy person. He always tries to get us to waste more money just so he can gain profit. He tries to create all sort of "special" events just so we can waste more money. He also tries to bribe us to advertise for him. Don't get hypnotized into his sweet talking. You may be asked to attend free sessions but classes are never as they seem. First of all, he doesn't teach at all. He just sits on his desk telling us what to do. He talks about all the amazing fantastic things he has done despite the fact that he doesn't do anything. One time, I failed to understand a technique he told us to do. i asked another kid to help me understand. He had a tantrum, saying how its very considerable disrespectful; however, he see. It is astonishing how fast a man can change his values from karate to money. He is a disgrace to karate itself.
