Great experience with Carboy. A much cheaper option compared to the car rentals in downtown or inside the airport. The owner was pretty cool to offer us a free car upgrade and waited after their closing hours for us to return during a holiday.

We rented a 2017 Camry July, 2022, for ten days. The cost was $100 per day including insurance and tax. The car was clean, the price much lower than other companies. The owner brought the car to our hotel, but was unable to return us to the hotel when we brought the car back, leaving us in the Hudson's Bay parking lot.

It was our first visit to the province of BC and I've booked to pick up the car at this downtown location as opposed to the airport YVR location. The price was half. Our full week rental of $193 + a $20 Costco gift card that was mailed to me 5-6 weeks after the rental period. The location is a block away from the train station. Very convenient coming from either cruise port or YVR. No pickup/drop off service offer at this location though. Please make sure that you 2x check the business hour if picking/dropping car on a holiday. We've booked for 9:30AM pickup time (coming from the cruise port) but only to discover that the office was closed. Being Labour Day Monday, the office opened at 10AM as opposed to 8AM. So do check despite what your printed confirmation receipt says! Other than that, the car was new (Jeep Renegade) and service was fast, friendly and efficient (both at picking up and dropping off car). Like all car rentals, do a thorough check of car before leaving the lot, point out all questionable scratches/dents/damages and take pictures as backup. Would recommend to give this place a chance if you are in town looking for a rental and convenient location.

The owner Wendy has run a tight ship for years and is pleasant to deal with..She has a nice assortment of rental cars and will pick up customers at the ferry landing and is always going full bore to make your transportation needs pleasant..No better way to see the san Juan Islands during your visit
