If I could give them zero stars, I would. Booked Ace via Priceline and it's actually rented via a third company Discount. Discount has a policy forcing to pay for additional insurance, outside the Ts&Cs (which require 3rd party insurance, I provided 2 versions of, they rejected saying I had to buy theirs). Took no accountability or responsibility saying it's not their (Discount's) problem and that I had to talk to Ace. Ace said I needed to refer to the Ts&Cs online, which I did. Agent at the pickup agreed it was confusing, but still wanted to charge an additional fee. They are happy to take money from another company's customers, but have no mechanism to provide customer service. She proceeded to have me call Ace and then later complained that I was on the phone with Ace and by me being on the phone call that she told me to make, I was "creating a negative work environment." Her colleague proceeded to yell at me for trying to teach them how to do their jobs and told me to read the Ts&Cs where it clearly states that they don't accept foreign CDW. I read them back to him out loud so he could see that it doesn't actually at all state that and he refused to retreat. I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice, but here I got yelled at by three different people to follow Ts&Cs that I was following. As a customer, it's not my fault you have one company renting on behalf of another. It's up to you to figure out how to align the policies. Or you know, at a minimum, not yell at people.

PLEASE AVOID. Pretty disappointed with Avis Vancouver. Reserved a vehicle 2 months in advance and arrived to pick up the car to be told there are no cars available for hours, potentially the next day. Poorly managed with nothing offered for compensation for the inconvenience. Apparently this is a very common occurrence. I would suggest going to enterprise or a similar competitor for a much better experience.

I planed a tour to Whistler and rented a car with access. I just walked into their office and 20 minutes later I got a nice and clean car. The staff was really friendly and helpful (they even gave me good tips to see waterfalls on the way to whistler). Dropping of the car after hours at the free overnight location was easy and saved me parking fees. I definitely recommend this place.

Avis always make it super easy for me. Book online, pay up-front, quick service when picking up and dropping off the car. Upgraded for free on several occasions. Overall a hassle and stress free experience.

One of the best rental experiences I've had. Enterprise on Granville Street is a fantastic agency who offer top notch service that is cheery and accommodating. I've rented cars all around the world and can recommend this service. Booking online was easy and the prices are very competitive. The parking lot itself is a bit difficult to navigate out of as quite tight so ask for help if you need. #goodrentalcar #carrental

Really appreciated the friendly and professional service at this Hertz. I had an accident with my rental car and they were most kind and helpful in assisting me with processing the paperwork and advising me on my claims process. I didn’t get the name of the lady who assisted me at the counter (she didn’t have a name tag) but she was super knowledgeable and nice. Most of all, she followed up with airport Hertz so I was able to get my replacement car there very smoothly. Also appreciated the friendly advice from Bruno that I received as I was leaving.

In response to another poor review made to this company regarding pets in their rental vehicles. I admire this strict adherence to the policy as I am severely allergic to cat hair. I am currently staying at the Tropicana suite hotel and was looking for a rental car close by and saw that this company was just downstairs! Looked through the reviews and just wanted to mention my appreciation for a company that is willing to stick to their rules and policies. I have rented from several other car rentals and have had to return vehicles early due to irritation caused by pet allergens. Will definitely be renting from them this weekend and will try to update the review with my experience.

DO NOT RENT HERE. Made the reservations through rentalcars.com and this was the business it brought me too even though that wasn't what was advertised. Then the employees try to befriend you as you walk in and offer all the different options. I rented a car on the snowiest day in Vancouver, nobody checked the car for damages and I was on my way. I drove to whistler and parked in a covered garage all week. Brought the car back and they hit me with a $220 charge for a scratch I didn't put there and it could've been easily buffed out. Do your research. The only positive reviews this company has posted are by their "friends"

I've been their longtime patron of car rental service. Their service is top-notch and always a pleasure to rent a car from them. Another reviewer mentioned that their service is not up to the Japanese standard. Are you serious? This is Canada, not Japan. I am not expecting Japanese service (like robotic service, domo arigato Mr. Roboto?) but rather friendly Canadian service (more human touch to it) instead. I rented a car from Robson car rental, staff was very friendly and walked me through all the policy and car features. Car was clean and gps was amazing helped us travels some best parts of west coast of Canada. Later I extended my rental for another day. I highly recommended them for best price in downtown Vancouver.

Best price for Hybrid car in the city. I had enjoyed environment and staff was very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this Car and scooter rental place.
