What an incredible place! You have to see their indoor atrium with retractable roof. Truly remarkable!

My mom stays here and she very well taken care off. The staff are very professional, courteous and extremely helpful and sharing with us. The only detriment is the obvious lack of parking for visitors at all times. I ate a meal with my mom and the food was well above average especially compared to other places my mom had stayed at. It looked clean and well taken care of.

In the four years my mom has lived at Lord Lansdowne this retirement /assisted living home, has gone downhill fast. Management and DOC have a very high turnover rate. Excellent staff being fired or leaving often.( that alone is a serious problem. In the four years my mom has been there, management and DOC have change about 4x's each) Programming for the two locked floors are limited as the people on those floors are NOT allowed to go downstairs anymore for programming and have to stay on the locked floor. In MY OPINION ,this has to do with the fact that management doesn't want potential residents seeing any of these persons as it may turn them off from wanting to reside there. Utterly shameful and disgusting!!! This rule has come from management, and has nothing to do with the wonderful person who does the programs for these two floors. Four years ago, i would have given this place a 5 star. I had to give it a one star to post it, but really it's a zero.

It's a decent place. Wifi worked, however there was no toilet paper and two of the three lightbulbs were burned out. Very clean. Across the street is a food market, where the people were very nice. Thanks!

Open, clean environment with friendly and caring staff! Couldn't be happier! Always things going on to do and wonderful people to sit and chat with!

When my husband’s Alzheimers worsened, I could no longer leave him alone at home and I needed a companion/caregiver to be with him, so that I could keep appointments or go shopping. I turned to Alternacare Ottawa to obtain this extra home support. They turned my life around. The staff person assigned was very professional but also caring and compassionate. I felt that they truly understood the situation and as such felt supported by them. I no longer worried when I left him as I knew that he was safe and that his needs and mine were being met. I highly recommend them.

I've had the pleasure of working at Mcleod Retirement Home for 3 years in maintenance. The owner/administrator is present everyday at 530 am to serve his residents breakfast and is helpful throughout the day to serve anyone's needs. The staff is friendly and respectful. The cooks are amazing and serve a variety of food every single day (they even have a diet plan for their residents who need one). Every single resident is taken care of to the fullest extent. Also, I might add the the owner has been in this business for over 20 years. He knows what he's doing.

Not a very good company If your healthcare provider doesn't show up for their apt. to take care of you or your home or goes on vacation for their apt. the company does not inform you your waiting and waiting and no one shows up the company does not inform you at all They do not call you to tell you no one is showing up unless you call in and say something and they still don't help you......very sad when you have an apt. and no one shows up and the company does not call you to tell you no one is showing up

Beautiful retirement home! The renovations are stunning and the staff is very friendly and professional.

I have had the pleasure to meet and chat with many eKidzcare nurses recently. These ladies are amazing! They approach their jobs with profound ability, grace, and passion. eKidz nurses truly help critically ill children live their best lives at home.
