I used to work here the staff is very nice, caring and attentive and with frequent outings and events it keeps the residents active and engaged.

This place is horrible! FULL OF BLACK MOLD!!! (I have pictures) They only have ONE aid working at any given time! Owners are all about profit over patients! DON'T PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!

I give this place zero stars. I have never seen a place this bad. My husband was here two days and I got him the hell out. They stand around talking, they are unprofessional and clueless. I wouldn't bring a wild animal to this place. My husband wasn't changed after he had vomit on his robe and sheets. I had to go there and talk to the clueless staff. I pity any patient who can't talk or help themselves because this definitely is not the place to be. It smells awful and looks like a funeral home.

As a neighbor to Maplewood, I've enjoyed both the staff and the residents. From monthly summer farmer's markets to just everyday living Maplewood is respectful, listening and encourages neighbours to participate whenever possible.

It's clean if well worn. No internet access in the apartments. The one computer in the lobby is extremely slow. The food is cooked to mush - practically unpalatable. Extremely difficult to retrieve phone messages. No one seems to know how to do it.

One star since they cannot receive less. My 83 yo father broke and surgery on his hip. Applewood was contacted as a possible rehab facility. Information was sent to them as an affirmative. My mother and I visited the site and liked it. We were given the tour by don Barton, the assistant manager. He told us we had excellent insurance that would pay for everything. We asked him to make sure he had reviewed the file and would accept my father he assured us it was a go. We told the hospital to put thru the transfer. During the transfer process, the case manager was called and told that don no longer wanted to allow us to attend the facility. No reason would be given. We went to talk to don to see what the problem was but the wimp left us sitting there and refused to come out of his office to say one word AVOID THIS FACILITY

Never had good staff, takes 10 tries. Was told we qualified for support, and after assessment, someone would call us in 2 days. 2 weeks later, i called...couldn't reach anyone, left a message. They responded 2 days later, said someone would be in touch in 2 days....its been a week. Last time we had their services, we got extremely terrible service. That's what happens when you get the government contract.

Food very bad . Need a new cook.
