Very nice faith based retirement home for all levels of care. PSW's and staff are the most special , caring people you will ever find.

I unfortunately worked here for very little time, not because i didn't want to work here but because i sadly was bullied out of the department. Some of the housekeeping staff are amazing, but some will not allow any new workers to "compete" with although there should be no competition. The boss James is absolutely AMAZING, but does not deal with any issues that arise with staff who ARE issues. I wish that I was mentally strong enough to handle the bullying and high school drama but sadly I was not. I would go back in a heart beat as i made some awesome relationships with great people.

Pioneer Elder Care (Vine Street) boasts a great resident / caregiver ratio. What they don't tell you is that the PSWs and staff do EVERYTHING - laundry, meal prep, feeding residents, cleaning rooms, dishes, etc. This leaves little time for resident care. The care is adequate if your loved one is immobile and you are willing to have them sit in their wheelchair in front of the television all day. If your loved one is mobile and has dementia, they don't want to deal with them wandering, not to mention that there are no activities to stimulate the residents during the day. They required us to hire extra care on top of the regular fees because they couldn't care for our loved one who was always walking and moving. Their solution was to secure him into a chair unless there was a family member, friend or a hired helper there with him. This facility is definitely NOT capable of caring for mobile residents. Our loved one was also kicked out with little warning. Zero stars!

Right at Home was a godsend for our family, allowing Mother (91) to stay in an Independent Living facility far longer than we expected. The caregivers are FANTASTIC and we greatly appreciated how they would email us with their insights. True professionals with HEART.
