Not the best service here.

Love the residents. And staff are very nice.

DO NOT put your loved ones in this nursing home.. - They treated my parents horribly... - Dad was bedridden after a stroke, and they would put his food across the room where he couldn't reach it, as he couldn't get out of bed,, being paralyzed.. - His meds would be all over the floor,, and he was often left in his own pee/feces in bed... - Mom ALWAYS got less food than everyone else,, and when she would go to lunch, they would come in her room and rearrange things, to try and drive her crazy.. - I saw this with my own eyes when I visited my parents.. - They were targeted for some reason and treated very badly... - When Mom got pneumonia they gave her Pepto Bismal to drink,, instead of checking her out.. - I had just arrived there from out West, and SAW she was in terrible pain.. - Got them to call an ambulance, and when she got to the hospital,, she was diagnosed with double pneumonia.. - She got through it at 92, but went into vascular dementia.. - Two years later same thing, Mom complains about terrible pain and they gave her again Pepto Bismal to drink.. - An ambulance was called, and when she got tot he hospital, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and died shortly thereafter.. - The place may look clean and the people friendly,, but after you leave there,, they treat your loved one miserably.. - PLEASE,, do not put your loved ones there, they will suffer at the hands of these people.. - This is one of those 'bad' ones,, please try another nursing home... - These people made life HELL for my parents, and I don't want it to happen to yours..

We recently took part in the major renovations at Villa De Rose and had many interactions with the management and front-line staff at this facility. I can not praise this retirement community enough. The facilities are immaculate, the suites are well-appointed and modern, the staff were always friendly and helpful and backed up by an outstanding management team. We also had many conversations with a few of the residents and they all seem to be wonderful people. We have done work at many retirement communities and I can honestly and without hesitation say that Villa de Rose is easily the home I would choose for my loved ones....or myself!

Our Mother 94 and Dad 96 have been residing at the Douglas J Rapelje Lodge in Welland for the past 14 months. They live together in the Veterans suite, Pod # 5, This facility employees 100 % loving and caring staff. These fine women and men treat our parents as if they were their own. The home is very clean and bright with large windows and flowers on the window sills. A lovely private garden next to the dining room is open for residents to visit and enjoy. The kitchen prepares excellent home stile meals 3 times per day. The home has RN staff and assistant staff 24 hrs. per day and their Doctor visits once per week. The nursing care in this home is second to none. The administrative staff are also first class in all departments. We are truly grateful to the Provincial and Regional Government for providing us with this very well run seniors facility in Welland.

Granite landings is the best home for seniors I recommend it. It has the best staff and they care about the residence. They go on fun activities with the Director of recreation Stacey Cosgrove and she is very nice and cares about the residence.

If you are feeling guilty because you have someone in your life that needs caregiving that you aren't able to provide, the senior helpers team will give you peace of mind. The team is dedicated in making sure your loved ones are looked after as if they were one of their own family members.

Great staff. They were very responsive, pre-emptive to my Mom's needs and I can't say enough positive things about the service. Thank you for your care.
