DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...I went there twice, the first time no one showed up for my appointment and the second time the lady forgot I had an appointment and I was just in her shop the evening before scheduling the appointment. A totally waste of time.

I have been to a few hair stylists in the past couple of months here in VA, and this has been my best experience by far. I am new to the city, and when you don't have a hair stylist that you are comfortable with is frustrating. I was very pleased with my experience, and I love my new cut. The salon is clean, and Chanta is professional and very personable. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone. Great experience.

I have gone to this Best Cuts at least 5 or 6 times, normally for a haircut and got highlights once. I receive online coupons which would usually prompt me to go in, thinking I was getting a great deal. I have had a different stylist each time and have had mostly good experiences... UNTIL my last experience when I received the most uneven haircut I have EVER had in my life. To start, the stylist seemed kind of stand-offish and not interested in the photos I had with me to show what hairstyles I liked. After the first cut I already knew it was going to be shorter than I wanted. She barely spoke to me during the entire haircut, I thought maybe she needed concentration. However she had no problem talking to all the other staff and other customers in the salon. I found this very rude. When she was finished cutting my hair she put some product in it and left my hair wet ,showed me the back with a mirror. I quickly looked my hair over as I was ready to get out of there, I paid and tipped the stylist as I always do. That afternoon when I finally got around to straightening my hair is when I realized that one side of my hair was at least an inch and a half longer than the other side, very noticeable. I asked for something like a long bob, not an asymmetrical cut. I was panicked and decided I would go back the next day to have it fixed. By the next morning I decided it was not worth going back to the place where they already jacked up my hair to give them the opportunity to make it look worse, even if they offered to try to fix it for free. Instead, I will either have to try to make this weird hairdo work or go spend more money somewhere else and hope someone can fix it now. Keep in mind 'you get what you pay for' as this certainly applies in the most negative sense to my recent experience. I will never go back and no longer recommend this location to anyone.

Best place to get a haircut for ODU students.

Came here during their Grand Opening promo and got a pretty bad hair cut. The hair stylist seemed rushed and did not seem to care. Usually I go to the Supercuts on Colley but their salon was closed recently because of water damage. So I decided to give this Hair Cuttery another chance. After all, the poor service the last time must have just been because they were rushed during a promotion time period, right? Nope. This time, there was almost no one there and I still got pretty bad service. The stylist, don't remember if it was the same one, didn't seem to care and in fact she seemed annoyed when I asked her to fix one spot of my hair. I guess this Hair Cuttery thinks they are above the "smile back guarantee". I also hope the Supercuts on Colley opens soon because I don't want to have to come back here. I'd rather just drive across town somewhere.
