Home Builder

Very good carpenters who are very good to their employees, and do a very good job of building houses and shops.

Excellent builder, pays attention to detail.

My sister and brother in law made a huge decision to build a home back in our small home town. They moved themselves and their kids to their new house that they were so excited to build with this "dependable" company. Well after months of building, they were moving into their new home, of over 700k dollars and to their disbelief, the house was half finished. The details in the house weren't complete, the painting only has one coat, the hardware wasn't installed and that's just the basic stuff. The company immediately went "bankrupt" and withheld all of their deposits. They couldn't even enjoy moving in to their brand new home that they were so proud to build. And it's been a headache after headache. It is not worth the hassle.

Used to work there and know they dont settle for sloppy work. They get 5 stars for providing quality work. 4 stars as an employer.

build with integrity and attention to detail.

Based on the previous reviews, I chose Ventura for building my first home. But completely disappointed. They were doing well before but not now. So, since my possession date, I have an issue with kitchen cabinets, but it's almost 11 months now just keep postponing. The guys came from the cabinet company, but they put small pieces of wood on both sides of the stove. It looks so ugly and the gas range is not fitting properly. They just built the house in six months, but nothing perfect. One guy said Ventura was trying to beat Qualico homes, How come they beat qualico homes without quality? And even with Stucco, the lady we had an appointment with, she didn't explain anything about Stucco types? We are first home buyers, we don't know anything. When we asked about the Stucco, she said it's not our responsibility, it's your responsibility to know about the Stucco types?I am really disappointed about Ventura Custom home. I will not recommend any one

Never use this contractor as he's a total fraud. He screwed me big time, hundreds of thousands over budget I have spoken to the media and we are just putting together a story in the mid of march to expose him with details. The story will be on facts, bills and actual records. Numbers don't lie !

Not one to make rants online, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to deal with what we have with A & S Homes. We’ve had nothing but problems since our possession day, and neighbours in our development with A and S built homes are going through a similar experience. We’ve only been in our brand new home for 3 months, and already all the stone is falling off the exterior. One of the doors was broken and was finally replaced, only to be a completely different colour from the other door right beside it. They will not fix any of these issues now until spring, leaving our house looking like a complete eye sore. There are numerous issues on the interior too, some of which have already been fixed once, only to fall apart again for a second time now, and some which have yet to be fixed at all. We’re so frustrated with the poor quality of product and service we’ve received. We’ve had a lot of questions about our experience with A and S Homes from potential home buyers and we’ve had to deter them all from this builder. In a city as small as Winnipeg, with one or two degrees of separation, I cannot believe the low quality of work they are putting out on the market.

Friendly service and what appears to be a good quality product.

Lisa Castro? Where do I start from? We have met couple of people who promised to do everything but at the end turned out to be a disappointment. Lisa Castro is a different person. Lisa is not only truthful and reliable, she keeps her words. She will not only be there with you but will stand by you all through. Lisa took us like her own family and she will always welcome you with an infectious smile. Lisa, we can’t thank you enough for our home. - Ola & Gigi

The quality of cabinets in our new build is despicable. Rickety, thin, and coming apart before they are one month old.

Awesome place
