Professional Custom Quality Affordable Homes. My wife and I decided to build for our second house buying experience. We built during the bubble in 2005 when many home builders cut corners and limited options in favor of high profits. Luckily for us we were able to find Evergreen Homes. We were able to customize our home with options not available at other builders and at a price which made sensible options within our budget. Our experience before, during, and post construction were great. We have now been in our home for over a decade and our decision to have Jon build our house has proven over and over to have been a great decision. We continue to enjoy our home and have had no issues with the quality or our home. We have since seen Jon continue to be a great partner in our sub-division and the surrounding Canton community. Fair, professional, and trust worthy are how I would describe doing business with Jon and for this I continue to give my highest recommendation.

They make promises that can't be kept. Customers have to keep reminding them of the work to be done...no respect for the customer

For a new house, I would expect better communication in a realistic and timely manner. In addition, theres been problem after problem and a seeming disinterest in fixing issues in a new house once someone has moved in. I get that new houses can need adjustments in the first year but no one should have to hunt to hunt you down to take care of these. Take care of your clients throughout the whole new homeownership journey; and certainly don't abandon them once they move in. Your poor customer care speaks volumes about your company and your priorities.

We had Rodger & Scott Contracting install some hardwood flooring and do assorted remodeling work in the kitchen and bathroom. For the most part we were happy with the job they did though there were a few miscommunications. We received several quotes on the job and chose R&S because they were the lowest bid. They did finish the job pretty much exactly on budget, so that was a huge plus. We were not pleased with their plumbing job under our kitchen sink since there is some leaking and they haven't responded to our attempts to contact them about fixing it, so that is a strike against them. Overall I would say if we had it to do all over again the cost savings were worth the issues we encountered and we would make the same decision.

Update: September 2018 Well, it took almost 8 months to get everything completed, but I will give them credit where credit is due, they completed the fixes on the house finally! Granted it was 8 months after closing and a lot of emails, phone calls, and nasty reviews... -------------------------------------------------------------- Absolutely horrible experience dealing with Pinnacle homes/MI Homes. Moved into a new home in December 2017 in the Manors at the Hamlet sub in Canton, MI and it is extremely difficult to get anyone from this company to come fix problems. The development of the house was very scary as the builder missed things routinely throughout the process (things like tray ceiling where it shouldn't be and doors between bedroom/bathroom where they don't belong). It is very clear no one in this company is checking the workmanship of the contractors and clearly does not care of the work being done. The drywall work is very unprofessional (sanding done poorly, paint on the hardwood). The so called 3 tone paint they brag about in the sales pitch is the cheapest paint ever (very easily marked and comes off just as easy if you dab it with a wet cloth). 3 Months in and the hardwood floor started making popping sounds and board are moving around when walked on. Came home after the closing to find the kitchen sink leaking to the basement and the keys wouldn't unlock 2 of the 4 doors. The shower needs to be re-grouted and the they've known about it since January! This is just some of the problem, the list goes on and on. Like I said, they clearly don't check the workmanship and clearly don't care about the homebuyer after closing. We made a huge mistake of trusting the mangement when they said any issues would be address right away. Here we are at almost 5 months later and I can't even get a date out of them on this stuff. The sales staff won't even give me contact information to escalate it to upper management. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't give them a penny of my money. Do yourself a favor, run far away. If you're in a contract already (good luck to you!), make them fix every little thing before closing because you will NOT find them afterwards.

Too costly for the choices

Done business with them in the past and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them in the future. Lovely people to deal with.
