Optometrist

The doctor was excellent and professional, but the optician brushed off all attempts to indicate what sort of frames I wanted, and told me that only their most expensive lens - $575 - would do for my prescription. A blatant lie at a -5 in both eyes. Three stars because the doctor truly was fantastic, but ultimately, they tried to rip me off. This is a great place for an exam but nobody should be paying $900+ for a single pair of glasses.

Dr. Merritt rocks!!! She doesn't just "do" her job, she has a great sense of humor and is extremely good at explaining the wonders of your eyes to you. She knows her stuff !!! I have been seeing her for years and trust her totally. All of her staff are so welcoming and pleasant and are oh so helpful trying to find new frames to suit you when you can't really see. They are not "out for the sale" as other places are. This office is full of honest, professional, courteous, helpful friendly people who know what they're doing. I highly recommend Dr. Merritt and her office team for all your vision needs.

I've been dealing with Daniela @ Blur for many years. She has been nothing but helpful, kind and very detailed when I come in to purchase/repair my glasses. I've bought numerous pairs of both prescription glasses and sunglasses that have all been great. It is rare to have customer service as great as Blur provides. 5+ stars.

The ladies in the office are super nice, but I am sad to say that I have not had a good experience here at all. Had an eye exam in Nov 2017 and still don't have my glasses (March 2018). It took about a month to get the first pair and they were not what I wanted, sent them back and waited another month and still not what I asked for. Dr started to get snippy with me about my requests saying that it is impossible to get a progressive lens where I will be able to see everything clearly. Hmmm, doesn't sound right to me. Waiting now for the 3rd pair. I don't understand why it takes 4 months to get one pair of glasses. I feel that I should be compensated somehow for this huge inconvenience. Found my exam was not very thorough either. Will not be going back.

What can I say it's a Hospital... It has come in handy over the years and the staff are friendly enough consideing how busy it can get at times. Just happy we have a place closer then Oshawa.

Dr Berry Johnson and her staff are friendly professionals who go the extra mile. Zeiss lenses and a great frame choice make them worth the drive to Dundas!
