Hands down the best Mexican food in San Diego. It is ENTIRELY homemade with recipes passed down for 3 generations. The waiter is the owner and he is very attentive. Even with a packed restaurant, they do a great job making sure you are happy and asking if they can do anything to better serve you. Very nice family, very nice restaurant, AMAZING FOOD!!! Good prices too!

The server was really nice, but the place was super dirty. The table felt sticky and so did the menus. When our food came out, my fajita wood plate had old dried food still on it and my son's bowl of mashed potatoes had ranch dressing on the side even though there wasn't any ranch dressing in his order. It just made me feel gross.

I lived in Japan for 3 years as a teacher. This is the best ramen I've had outside Japan. Maybe that's because it's an award winning family run business. And yes the owner moved here from Japan to get the store up and running. He's still cooking daily behind the counter.
Just note you will be waiting at least an hour if you come at peak times. They shut down the wait list so the store can close at a reasonable hour. Don't try to come in last minute.

I love bringing my family here to eat Beef Sandwiches, Ribs, chopped meat sandwiches or the beef plate with the delicious B.B.Q. Sauce . Usually with a side of Baked beans, French Fries and a drink. My son loves the French Fries and sits quietly while I eat. Staff is super friendly, and makes Delicious food.

Wow really liked this place but they dropped the ball tonight. Ordered the bbq chicken and normally it's really good. But tonight I literally had the tiniest drizzle on one piece of chicken and the rest was completely dry with no flavor. I called to ask about it and they told me that's how it comes. Not the story the other times I've been there. Well onto another Hawaiian bbq spot that pays more attention to detail and cares about the food they serve to there customers
