I have had nothing but great experiences taking my dog Sophie to this Pet Hospital! I moved just down the road from this vet last year and started by just getting my dog food there, the girls at the front are always friendly and helpful. I was originally going to South Burnaby Vet and felt like I was being overcharged as they had me come in multiple times for the same test all inconclusive and they had me absolutely worried as they said she had Cushings disease but weren't sure so they'd contact about more tests and never did. As a senior dog I noticed there were some things I wanted to checked out, I called South Burnaby for a quote and then called Queens Park as they are 300 meters away from my house. Queens park quoted less (their exam fee is less right off the bat) so I took her in. Dr. Kiehlbauch ran tests, told me my dog does not have Cushings and diagnosed her with something much more simple to treat but also made me aware of things to keep an eye on. Since she has been taking medication, the Dr. has checked in more than once to see how she is doing and my dog has had no issues since! One of the things I really respect on top of them checking in multiple times is the language they use. At one point she said "I would not be concerned about _____ if it were my dog." As a pet mom, those words made me feel so much less worried and stressed out. I highly recommend this Hospital and am thankful for the time they take to ensure my dog is healthy & happy.

They saved my puppy’s eyesight and have continued to help me help her work her frequent ulcers. If it wasn’t for them I’m sure my little girl wouldn’t have made it this far with her vision. I’m very grateful for them.

This vet truly loves animals and takes the time to really talk to you and get to know your pet as an individual. Very friendly and knowledgeable receptionists too.

Not bad... Cheaper than certain other clinics....but if you have to return 3 times when you only needed one good visit, are you really saving money.... Depends on your particular circumstances of course.

Don't go there! I went to check my dogs eye, the vet did some test and check my dog, the answer that the vet gave me was "I don't know what's going on with your dog, you should go to another veterinarian" and I have to pay more than 100 dollars... that's stealing!!

The staff here are very understanding and accommodating to my anxious dog. They had a room ready upon arrival as to not stress him out even more. I've only visited once so far, but I feel comfortable that they will meet the needs of my dog in future.

My cat needed to go in for an emergency check up after having an accident, and they were beyond understanding and squeezed me in between appointments. I truly have never had an experience as great as paws, and I'm thankful my partner told me about them. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and will help calm you down when you're panicked about your fur baby. Thanks, Paws!! :)

WORST PLACE EVER!!! WE LEFT OUR DOG WITH THESE GUYS FOR A WEEK AND NOW WE WISHED WE NEVER DID!
FIRST OF ALL, WHEN WE PICKED HER UP, THE TWO GIRLS/LADIES THAT WERE AT THE FRONT DESK HAD SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, IE. NO SMILE OR HELLO TO EVEN START OFF WITH. MY HUSBAND ASKED HOW OUR DOG DID AND ALL WE GOT WAS A ONE WORD ANSWER "GOOD". C'MON, I AM PRETTY SURE THEY CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT, ESPECIALLY HAVING HER WITH THEM FOR A WEEK, GEEZ! TONE WAS VERY HARSH AND LOOKED AT US AS IF WE WERE CRIMINALS.
ANYWAY, WHEN OUR DOG WAS BROUGHT TO US, BELIEVE ME, SHE SMELT AS IF SHE HAD BEEN SLEEPING IN HER PEE THE ENTIRE WEEK. WHEN WE GOT HOME, SHE WAS PEEING BLOOD. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH OUR VET FOR THE NEXT DAY AND WAS TOLD THAT SHE HAS A URINARY INFECTION. JUST MADE US WONDER HOW CLEAN THIS FACILITY IS.
OUR DOG NOW IS VERY EDGY AND NO MORE THE HAPPY, ACTIVE DOG SHE WAS WHEN WE LEFT. I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT WENT WRONG THERE BUT SHE IS NOT HERSELF FOR SURE.

Never came back here again. The assistants were either rude, condescending, and/or unenthusiastic about their job. Never made eye contact with me at the beginning when I walked in. The vet charged me with several things I never fully agreed to nor did I get a chance to ask any questions about what I was being charged with. The entire process just felt artificial and incredibly fast.
Once the appointment was finished, I was trying to put my puppy back inside his carrier but he had ripped through one of the openings and got himself stuck. I kept trying to draw his head back but he panicked and got more frantic. When I was ushering him, the assistant heard me and tried to help. My puppy, stressed out and not knowing who she was or her intentions, originally tried to bite her, and she looked at me like it was my fault? But she's forgetting that he's in a new environment, he's stuck, and he's anxious, he has his HEAD wrapped around fabric for gods sake.
At checkout, she told me to take him to puppy training. I replied to her saying I was waiting on all the vaccinations but in return, I was training him. She then changed the topic saying puppy socialization is important. Again, I know. She kept going on and on about her experience with dogs, as if I had no idea what I was doing. I've trained dogs, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing. Very unhappy with the experience I had here.

I am so grateful to Dr Toor and his amazing, deeply caring staff for their professional and excellent care of my dogs who are now all old. Dr.Toor is an excellent diagnostician and always takes an economical approach to tests needed, with full care of the animal at all times. If more serious tests are required, then he explains why. I never feel that unnecessary X-rays or tests are simply ordered. When our lab was diagnosed with diabetes I was fully trained in how to give the insulin injections at home. Our dogs are living out their last years comfortsble even with old age ailments and so well looked after with this hospital to support us. We had to put one of our fur babies down last year and the compassionate way that both our dog and we were handled as a family will always be what I remember from that day. A huge thank you and hugs to all at Main Street Animal Hospital

We've visited Dr. Kramer and Dr. Goldberg (Who has since retired) and could not be happier with their help. Our puppy had a very complicated health issue which they properly helped explain to us, went over all of the options and contacted us multiple times afterwards to follow up. Highly recommended. They truly treat your pet as if it was their own.

The people working in here are horrible, they just care about the money and won't care about your love to death pet. My pet got some kind of illness and the surgery charges over 2000 dollars and my pet will have to stay in for a week which costs over 7000 dollars. What kind of room would they give my pet to stay in? Geez. Maybe my pet would've lived if they wouldn't charge it this expensive. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL THEY WILL CHARGE YOU LOTS OF MONEY THAT ISN'T NECESSARY!😡😡
