My aunt has been working for Total Home & Healthcare Services for 11 years. She introduced me to work at their office as an Office Administration. I notice that THHS' staffs are very accessible for both clients and employees. When something arises, the office staffs become one team until the situation is dealt witj. Now, I am at school, but come to help them whenever I can. They are working very professionally and helped me to expand my knowledge and skills.

Everyone I've known here has been pleased with the service. Very friendly Finnish background. Even has outside bakery sale on Fridays for insiders and non-residents.

I have a friend who is a resident of the Grenadier. She, being unable to take care of herself, knows that someone is always a buzz away, should she need assistance. She has had to take advantage of that a couple of times. The staff are certified health care workers not nurses, but everyone has been helpful and friendly anytime I visit. I also know that the meals are hot and prepared on time and done in a social session where tables are shared with 2 or three other people. The few times that she has been unwell, they do allow her to eat in her room, for her safety as well as the other residents. It is not ideal for someone who has been independant and mobile their entire lives, but it is a much needed peace of mind knowing that you are looked after by responsible and caring people.

The place is great just no parking really.

Retire At Home is a caring company and they will work hard to meet your individual needs. Their approach is flexible and thoughtful. I highly recommend their services.

Recently my wife had an accident that required convalescent hospital care after surgery. We were given a list of possible places for her and after visiting and looking at the facilities, I choose True Davidson Acres. While it may be true that my wife was only in that facility for fours plus weeks, I have only good things to says for the staff and the facility. 1. I visited my wife daily and was pleased to notice that the parking was free and adequate spaces were allotted. 2. The facility was always clean and well staffe 3. The staff were WONDERFUL. Most of the residents were long term care and each days, weekly and on weekends, the staff treated ALL the residents(that we could see) with the utmost respect and kindness. If a resident needed help eating there was someone available. If the resident had a colostomy bag, it was changed regularly with out fuss. If a resident had a bad night or was contrary, there was never a harsh word back to the resident. They were always treated with respect and kindness. A great place to have your loved one placed in someone else's care.

There's a special place in hell for those that neglect vulnerable people -- especially those they are paid to serve -- and those that allow it to happen. Dad was recently discharged from the hospital based on CCAC promise to provide my Mom with supports required to bring him home -- ensuring Dad's diaper could be changed three times a day. We would never have dreamed that on top of the burden of care my Mom already had to deal with, that she'd be faced with the task of placing a dozen or so calls to get the promised service or that -------> six days later

Our caregivers are hard working and dedicated to their clients.

Staff are doing an excellent job of programming for both the social and physical needs of seniors. I particularly enjoy the FELDENKRAIS program. FELDENKRAIS is a very gentle series of movements which cause no stress, injury or fatigue to the body. The result of these gentle movements is a decrease in joint pain, increased fluidity of movement and an overall improvement in balance, strength and body awareness. FELDENKRAIS has helped many participants regain mobility after surgery, accident or stress that has resulted in restricted movement.
