Optometrist

Having had good service from this store it was very disappointing to go today for an eye exam. My appointment was at 4.30pm and I got there 10 mins early to check in. At that time no mention was made of the Dr running late . Having noticed someone going in to the Dr just after 4.35 I asked the receptionist if the Dr was running to time to be told yes she was. I then asked how late and was told 30 minutes. I didn't have time to wait an additional 30 mins so cancelled. If I had been told of the time delay when I checked in I would have been happier. Not to inform a patient who has turned up on time of a significant time delay at the outset is rude and arrogant. They have lost my business after 5 years.

I have been wearing progressive lenses for a long time but no one told me that there are variety of progressive lenses on the market. First time I have been explained different kind of progressive lenses; I was impressed with their knowledge.

Dr. Ilic is a thorough, methodical, and very skilled optometrist. She meticulously performed all the necessary tests and exam of my eyes, and discussed eye health and care recommendations with me. The front office staff are also very courteous, friendly, and efficient. Thank you very much.

Worst experience I ever had. I did an eye exam with Dr Natalia. She is condescending to everyone (including elderly) and so rude to her receptionist. Will never go back.

Went in for a quick shades fix and I really felt like a valued client. Excellent customer service by Emily, willing to go above and beyond!

Best optician in Ottawa imo, I’ve been going here for glasses and exams for the past 6+ years and always get great service and pricing is very reasonable and the glasses have always been good to go within an hour of picking them out. I was even able to get a pair of vintage frames with prescription lenses for $40 because Greg had a promo going on at the time. Not sure if it’s still going on but they always have wild promos like two for one frames or discount on frames or . Even now that I live downtown I still make the trip back to orleans for this place, can’t recommend it enough.

I came here for the first time on Monday, May 27/2018. Can't wait to receive my new glasses. BTW, I was quite impressed with the great service I received from Marc Dignard. Nice little store but seems unorganized and maybe uninformed or misleading. Shopping for prescription sunglasses, looking at Oakley's. The lady indicated that I would pay more for Oakley sunglasses as the lens' are unique, and that I should look at regular Oakley frames. Turned out that the sunglasses were actually about $100 cheaper then the regular frames, can't say why. I picked out an Oakley frame and lens (mirrored), was told about a 5 to 10 business day turn around, after 6 business days they contacted me telling me that my choice lens was on back order for 4 weeks and that they were the only lab in the region who performed this service. I reached out to another local eye wear provider who also sold Oakley and they informed me that there are in fact 12 labs in the region who complete this type of lens and that at least half could accommodate my required index. I had to cancel my order through Embrun Eyewear as I felt that I was misled in order for them to obtain an $800 sale. Even when I called to cancel it I was told again that it is a rare tint and again, it's the only lab, but when I challenged that she could not get off the phone quick enough. Ended up going with Embrun Optometry Clinic.

Easy to setup appointments, never have to wait and the staff is very friendly. Been going for a few years and started taking my kids (5 &8) this year.

I've not had much luck! I purchased progressives that didn't work for me and was told I needed to get used to them. I scratched a lens and they got a replacement that was wrong and I never heard back. No coverage for this but I was tired of struggling with bad lenses so I went elsewhere and spent lots of money once again. I got progressive that worked immediately without have to "get used to them"! It is really important for me to have a team that can get it right the first time so I don't waste my time and money!
