New to all that Troy business district has to offer. Thrilled to have found Hatchet Hardware! Not just your regular hardware store- found essential oils for my Reiki practice:) Who knew:) My sales associate, Brandon, gave me space to explore the store, but was close enough when I had a few questions. Worth the visit!!!

I started researching building a ground base solar system in our front yard. While researching, I noticed an ad for a solar canopy. The photo was beautiful. I researched the company and liked what I found. Afterall doing solar is about making the planet a better place so the company counts. I contacted SunCommon eleven months ago. I knew I was going to agree to buying a system but didn't know exactly what it was going to be. Rooftop solar was off the table as the house is about 125 years old and would need too much work to support the weight. I've always liked ground based solar systems which was what we talked about on the original call. Ended up with the Solar Canopy from the ad. The canopy fits an area with good su, looks beautiful with the benefit of parking two cars under it. Who has solar that is beautiful?
The system has 24 LG435N2T-E6, 435W LG NeON H BiFacial Panels, Sunny Boy 7.7 inverter and one Tesla Powerwall. A second powerwall on order.
SunCommon wanted to find the best solution for our property and finances. A canopy is the most expensive way to do solar but it's a system that adds to the looks of our property. SunCommon never tried to upsell. In fact.
There are many steps to the project and they did a good job at keeping us informed throughout the ten months. We got quick responses whenever we had a question. This all happened during the covid pandemic and the wood price spike which both didn’t seem to affect anything.
Each step of the project had different crews. Using a drone to measure the amount of sun the system will receive. The crew who put the initial screws which hold up the timber framing worked hard to get the placement perfect in our rock filled yard. The timber framers were craftsmen putting all the timbers into place with just two workers in a single day. The crew who did the trenching to our house did as little damage to our lawn as possible and reseeded it. They had to be careful not to cut the other lines we have running underground which meant a bunch of hand shoveling.
The electricians had a hard job to get the wire from the side of our house into the basement. They needed to get a conduit under a concrete wood stove hearth. It took lots of sleg hammering and determination. The other option would have been to run the wire around to the back of our house adding 30 feet of ugly conduit attached to the side of our house. This level of commitment to do it the best way, instead of the easy way is one more thing that impressed us.
A special thanks to Craig who was our sales representative, for working to get us the system we wanted. Loralee (project manager) was great to work with. Loralee worked with us every step of the process. Answering many questions and keeping us informed as to what was going on each step of the project. I wish I could name each person who was part of the project so that they all know that we appreciate their work ethics and friendliness.
The Sunny Boy web portal shows down to the watt what is being generated. The Tesla app shows solar production, what the house is using, how charged the battery is and what goes back to the grid. Between the two we have real time detailed information on how productive our system is.
In the 2 months running we are producing enough energy to power everything in our house. Not during bad weather but at the end of December we had over 50 kWh extra power in the bank. Not bad for the month with the shortest days of the year. Looking forward to what June will produce.
We have had a few short power outages. The Powerwalls have kicked in and we almost don’t know we are on backup power. There is one or two seconds until the Powerwalls take oves.
At the time of the photo with the snow on the panels we were still generating 3.94.5kW. That’s a big advantage of the BiFacial panels.
I would be happy to talk with anyone thinking about getting a solar system, especially if it's with SunCommon. Going solar is a big decision so do as much research as possible.

Belmont Solar

Except for a few minor communication glitches, the entire solar project was a positive experience. Belmont is a local Lancaster County company, without all the bells, whistles and hard sell of a typical large company. The price was the best value of the several companies we got quotes from. Once the contract was signed and deposit paid, Belmont took care of all the permitting and logistics. The installation crew was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and professional. Everything went off without a hitch and the system is working as advertised.

Our experience with Paradise Energy Solutions was very positive.
Marty Clemmer was very knowledgeable in the design of the system and explaining the process. Curt Ulrich kept the project moving and kept me informed along the way. He also worked out all issues with PECO. The installation team members were polite, organized, and clean, trustworthy, and competent.
I will highly recommend using Paradise Energy Solutions to anyone considering installation of a solar system.
(Paradise Energy Solutions installed a 20 KW roof mount system on our office/shop.)

Went in today forgot my card and only had a little cash, a very nice man behind me paid for my groceries. I wanted to get his name so I could pay him back but I was just embarrassed, crying and ready to get out of there... I couldn't remember the roofing company he had mentioned either. But if he ever sees this I wanted to thank him! I really appreciate you helping me out you truly blessed me and helped me more than you know.

Always clean and always has the items stocked up. The employees seem to take their positions with seriousness and exhibit a certain grace and pride for their assigned tasks. Every time I've been here, no matter who the employee is, or what they are doing, when I have had to ask a question, they always halt their task and either point out the exact isle my item is located, look it up on their device, or take me to it personally. I must admit the last option makes me feel a little too catered to, but I am not complaining. Merely stating that the associates here are very very good.

Walmart Supercenter

Beware this location on Morse rd.!! Not well stocked at all . You'll find that you're the interruption to employees doing their job SMH. Customer Service here is dead. Associates that are on the floor don't seem to speak or understand English at all. So by the time you do find some that understands what your requesting it's not a Customer Friendly interaction it seems more like your interrupting what they were doing.

Zero star rating!!
This company has the worst customer service possible. I bought 6 solar led strings from Costco, and 4 out of the 6 strings don't work. They have defective batteries and this company wouldn't address the issue at all. After almost 3 weeks of waiting I will return everything back to Costco and never buy anything from Sunforce again.
Very disappointing
