Eyewear & Opticians

Was directed here by the optometrist that operates next door when I asked for a contact lens prespcription. The guy that works there said they only have one type of contacts and that I didnt need a fitting because he was going to "adjust" according to my prescription. I didn't knkw better so I paid only to have them give me one box for both eyes, meaning same prescription for both eyes. Contacts on right feel fine but not the left. Will never buy from here.

great service highly recommend this place

I just love the experience. People there are so friendly and helpful. Manager was really helpful and helped me a lot. He is so kind and generous. They have a huge variety of glasses and at affordable price. Love the gasses i got. Alex Costa

Went there to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses but I didn't like the fact that the gentleman who was assisting me wanted to know how much coverage I have before showing me the sunglasses. I swear not one of the sunglasses were below my coverage limit.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO THE OWNER OF EUROPEAN OPTICAL JACK LEVY FOR THE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KIND SERVICE. I RECOMMEND 100% SERVICES TO EVERYONE WHO NEEDS OPTICAL GLASSES AND NICE EYE-FRAMES AND MOST IMPORTANTLY GREAT SERVICE WITH BIG AND PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE.

I too felt that the owner provided great service. However, he does not stand by his work. After spending $500.00 on Gucci frames with progressive lens in less that a week an ornate part of the started to move back and forth on the handle. The lens that I paid $169 for are so poorly filled that I have to squint to see properly no matter how much I move the glasses around on my face. When I called I was told to come in, I jut called back to advise that the adjust of over 3 weeks did not see any improvement and I was coming in to return for a refund and was told because they are custom I cannot get my money back. Umm, all prescription glasses are custom and Customer Service is suppose to be linch pin of the small business. Want to know why big boxes such as Costco are taking over! They stand behind what they do. I will NEVER recommend or go back to a this small business . I will stick to my optometrist or to a big box. SO pissed that I wasted $500.

The Centre Street store is well-designed for "frame browsing". Staff was pleasant, friendly, and knew how to narrow down frame selection to what would, in my words, "grace my face". Oh, and I got a full, detailed explanation of the "qualities"--the technical differences--of the available lenses.

Anuj is a fantastic person. Very courteous and very professional. Thank you Optical king team for going above an beyond.

Friendly!

Amazing experience, friendly staff and overall would recommend to anyone.

Really good service, I would def go back and recommend it to others

My wife and I are long time customers of Eye Openers. The service and selection is second to none. Absolutely the BEST place to shop if you want style and enjoy being edgy. Rich and his gang are the best.

He was handling my brand new glasses that I had recently bought in London and he drops it and breaks it. He then asks me how much they are worth. The frame was genuinely expensive and the price baffles him so rudely he asks me to stop lying. I still had the receipt which I tried showing him. He wouldn't even look saying that he can also get that piece of paper made. I desperately beg him to relent but he wouldn't and finally said that I have no proof that he broke my glasses. At this point I just walked out of his store.

I went in to get my eye exam waited quite a while for my exam which I expected. Got in to see the doctor for him to tell me he couldn't do the exam because my eyes where to dry and u should come back and he would not charge me. Which is great customer service I thought until 2 months down the road I go for an eye exam and they tell me I was charged for one prior. They charged me for an eye exam they didn't do and assured they would not charge me for. This is not acceptable and now I must pay out of my pocket at there fault. They got paid for a service they didn't do.

My family and I have been dealing with Avenue Optical for more than 10 years and we have had nothing but a pleasant experience since day 1. They have consistently provided a great selection of frames, affordable prices, and impeccable customer service - the reason why we don't choose any other Optical Store.
