At first I was very apprehensive about using a guy without a website, but John was very responsive, came out to give us a quote in person, gave us a fair price, was very flexible with our schedule and most importantly, did a fantastic job for the price. I will be using him again.

Another great carpeting job by Steinberger‘s! Living room, hallway, and stairs look amazing. We’ve been using Steinberger‘s for at least 25 years. Their craftsmen are experienced and skilled, willing to answer any questions and make suggestions. They even educate us on different techniques they use. Good quality work! i see a lot of positive reviews here but my experience was different. he did come in with the best price. after a couple of days he complained he didn't charge enough. when he was finished i mentioned the floors looked like they did not have enough poly on them. it was obvious. he said, yeah, they could use another coat. i paid for two coats of poly but only got one. guess he was trying to make up for not charging enough ($2500). how do i know? he left his trash so i calculated the coverage based on the empty poly cans. the bad news is i had to do another coat myself. having no experience, i had to go to the internet to learn how. had to sand entire house by hand. my first coat did not go that well so i had to sand entire house again and another coat of poly went on. i ended up spending 80 hours finishing the job i paid him to do. additionally, there was red stain left splattered on my baseboards throughout the house. he never offered to clean it up. my antique floor tile was ruined in places where his floor sander came up against it and gouged it. also gouged my baseboards in several areas. he also left swirl marks on a few of my stairs. take it for what you will but that 80 hours spent finishing his job was some of the most difficult labor i have ever done and i resent having to do it. job was on morlock st in mckeesport about five years ago. you smoked and worked shirtless. believe me, i remember. dude, your picture is on your website so i know it is you.

Jacob Pelled is a thief. They messed up my floors and never came back to fix them!!
