My grandmother lives here and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. She is also kept busy with lots of activities and typically enjoys the food. Be wary of these extremely negative reviews and keep in mind that there is likely another side to the story. The accusations of assault are basically libel.

This place is just awful. My loved-one lived there for four years and I was there A LOT to see what goes on. Almost 100% of the time when I would ask staff something I got the same answer over and over again: "I don't know. I don't usually work on this unit/floor/area. I'm just filling in." And they would NEVER try and find an answer. It was beyond appalling. They also left my mother in bed for an entire Saturday because her laundry hadn't come back so she didn't have any pants. When I found out I asked them why they didn't call me. Their response: "We can put that in her care plan to call you when in the future you mother doesn't have pants." Seriously. That was their answer. They were going to leave her in bed until her laundry came back on TUESDAY. My mother lost all of her upper teeth due to inadequate mouth care. Another time my mother's ear swelled up with infection so badly blood was coming out of it and they kept refusing to call the doctor or prescribe antibiotics. They also found her upside down falling out of her bed against the wall early one morning. No one knows how long she was stuck like that. Her forehead and shoulder were scraped raw. I found a huge dead fly in her food once and another time a long black hair was in her mashed potatoes. It was a never-ending nightmare. I was so relieved to get her out of there. The food is horrible, the place has a horrible lingering smell and the people just don't care. No one is ever accountable for anything they say or do.

A few years ago, my aging mother (i.e. 85+) began to encounter problems in her mobility. She found that she could no longer drive a car, walk the dog, go shopping or move effortlessly throughout her apartment. However, she insisted on staying in her home. SOS (i.e. Supportive Outing Services) is a true blessing. They set it up so that one of their care givers dropped in on my mother every day to help her with the day to day chores. They walked the dog, did her shopping, took her to appointments and did some light housekeeping. This allowed my mother to stay in her apartment for a lot longer than would otherwise have been possible. The other valuable asset that the SOS team provided was knowledge about the world of seniors in Alberta. They were able to explain many of my mother’s more bewildering behaviour. They also have a good understanding of the programs and procedures that are followed by the Alberta government and medical community when it comes to senior’s assistance. We were blessed to have them there when my mother finally had to be moved to more long term care. We would recommend SOS to any family that it struggling with the challenges of supporting a senior in Alberta

Horrible experience. Staff discussed their personal life in front of me while I waited for someone to show me around. I finally left without anyone helping me. Management walked right by. Residents looked very unhappy. Not a bright or cheerful environment.

Its is so sad how they charge extra for every little thing. Never seen the management staff give so little care about the residence. All they care about is $$. But the other staff is very friendly

I have a 78 yr old father with dementia. We tried about 10 different agencies nurse next door etc. None of them Send properly trained people and you end up retraining a different person every week. It was a horrible experience. Finally Albert Health Services recommended this agency. I cannot say enough good about this agency. From What we have seen over the last 4 months the caregivers they sent are all amazing and reliable. This is the first agency we have used that actually seems to care about there clients needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this agency. Do not waste your time with other agency’s, especially if you have someone who requires higher level Care. I can tell you from First hand experience this Agency is by far the best, we tried them alll over the past 5 years. Finally, we can just enjoy our dad’s company and not stress about finding people to help take care of him Again. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

0 stars. Minus stars. The food quality is absolutely awful! Reminds me of a terrible cafeteria. No nutritious or fresh food. Everything tastes and looks like cardboard. When things break they don't get replaced. Every resident on the third floor is sharing 1 washing machine as the two broken ones haven't been repaired in over a month. And now the kitchen dishwasher is broken so the residents are eating off of paper plates.

Lovely place with best service system. All the doctors and nurses are really cute and friendly. I can feel the people who living inside are being very good take care. I Always go to deliver the medicines for them and can feel the good power from there.

Excellent service!!! Staff are very professional and compassionate. I totally recommend to anyone who wishes to age at home.
