I have an amazing story about Vanig Jelilian! 35 years ago my parents lived in Ontario and bough jewellery from Vanig when his store was on Yonge St. Our family moved to Scotland in 1996 and my parents forgot about a gold diamond ring that they had taken to Vanig to be reset. Somehow, for some reason last year, they remembered possibly taking jewellery in to Vanig before they left, going back 30 years. I have since moved back to Toronto and my dad asked mt to look-up "Vanig the Jeweller on Yonge Street" to see if I could track down this mystery of the possibly forgotten Jewellery (they weren't sure what it was or if in fact they had even left anything). After a quick Google search I found Vanig. To make a long story short Vanig, after 30+ years and at least 1 move of location, still had the ring! When I went to his store, he and his staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Vanig remembered my parents well and he shared lots stories from the 80's. For Vanig to hold onto a piece of jewellery for 30+ years without even a word from the customer in that time, is incredible and the fact that he remembered my parents so well really speaks to his integrity and how he values his customers. I will definitely be going to Vanig in the future for any jewellery needs and would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Vanig and your amazing team and family for this great story! Gavin

I thought they were great! I had some jewellery that I wanted back after I took it in April 17 and it's now August and they had no problem extending my time until the 2nd of Aug. I had an injury which kept me from going each moth to renew my time limit but like I say had no problem doing it over the phone. The only person who gave me a bit of attitude was a young kid I could tell by his voice when he said he couldn't understand why somebody could not afford $8 a month? I never find it necessary to tell my personal problems but of course by his attitude I did so I had to explain that I'd had a work injury where a washing machine had fallen on me so I was off work and the car had broken down so I had no way in as I told him I lived in Milton . He agreed that on the next Tuesday I will be in to pay but the way he said "see you AGAIIIN ON TUESDAY!" was more attitude from him but all over the did help and their borrowing rates are cheap so yes I would advise this pawn shop to anybody! :-) just if your going to be late don't get the young kid because he doesn't seam to understand that people are human and we do get sick from time to time. Other than him GREAT PLACE WITH GOID QUALITY.. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, Jay

What an amazing experience! From the first time I walked in, all the way to the day I picked up the ring, the entire staff was so friendly and helpful that it made the whole experience stress and worry free. I chose to do a custom design and Emily was with me the whole way through with so many helpful suggestions, even the rest of the staff was able to help me decide on those hard to reach design decisions. I couldn't have been happier with the end result, the ring turned out absolutely beautiful and we have not stopped hearing how amazing it looks! The prices are very reasonable for such quality of work, and the 3D rendering design and time to create were way quicker then I was imagining. Emily also did an amazing job being discreet about the whole process, helping me to keep this a secret (ask for e-mails only). My fiancee had no idea all the way up until the big day. Thank you all so much for making this something very special and rewarding for us! We will definitely be going back.

I bought a reversible ring while there for a appointment. I love the ring. However after about a week or so I noticed a flaw in the ring. One side of it on one of the edge there is a sharpness. It gets caught when you are putting on a top with sleeves and if you run your finger across it you can get a tiny scratch. I won't be back to this location until another 3 months. What do I do? I want the ring but I can't wear it because of the flaw.

My mom has been going to them for years. Hubby and I got our wedding bands here. The owners (husband and wife) are amazing. They walk you through every last detail and give you input if you ask them. They don't try to up-sell and pressure you either. Joe even recommend smaller diamonds on my wedding band due to the contrast against the engagement ring. Who does that? They DO NOT lack in honesty or integrity. A+
