I cam to visit my Mother for a short time .My experience was not good.The PSW were not friendly which should be expected in a senior homes. The house was not warm and they treated the senior as number.I would not recomende this place to any elder.

Great home care services for my aging mom. We have been using Bayshore since last 2 years and would highly recommend it to those looking for personal care and in home nursing. I can work and take care of my kids simultaneously while my mom can be safe at home.

I am adding to my earlier review in response to JM, below: I’m not sure what axe you are grinding, JM, but as you’re not even willing to use your full name or to explain how you have “10 years experience with this place” yet you “wouldn’t put a dog there,” I’d suggest others can safely ignore what you’re saying. Mom has now been there close to 2 weeks, in a convalescent bed, as she recovers from surgery. Dad visits for hours each day. I was there today and queried Mom again about her care. She loves her physiotherapists in particular and says all the staff have been responsive and kind. She’s no shrinking violet and quite openly told us a few weeks ago when she thought her hospital nurses were too rough. I only write again because I fear other families considering Seven Oaks would be frightened off by these strange reviews, as they concerned us. I can’t speak for what it may once have been like. I can only say that our experience with the convalescent care and all the staff has been top notch. Again, go visit for yourself and compare to the others. Anonymous troll types are not worth paying much heed. My original review: Mom has been here just under a week, recovering from emergency surgery after breaking her hip, and our experience has been absolutely first rate. Staff have been welcoming and kind, food, with choices at each meal, has been good and plentiful. The rooms are clean. There are places to gather with visitors, including a large, open and bright atrium, an auditorium and even a small pub open a couple times a week. Mom had her hair cut soon after she moved in and was thrilled with it. We saw 3 homes before choosing this one and the entire family, including Mom, are thrilled we got into this one. We were a little concerned by the negative reviews - no need to be. The place is great.

My Mother spent the last 4 years of her life at Heritage House. She was treated with such love and respect- it is almost impossible to put it into words. No matter where my Mom would have lived, She would never have received the care and attention that she received here. When Mom was diagnosed with cancer, all the nursing staff and P.S.W's were there to tend to my mom: even if it was just to hold her hand and reassure her. My Mom and I both knew that she was in the best place possible, and it gave us both immense comfort. So "thank you" to all the staff, you're the greatest! As to the individual who wrote the comment below, you obviously were not dealing with either Lisa or Divinia, because they are both extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. As for the portions of food, I have eaten many times at Heritage House myself over the years, (and I'm a 6'1" 290 lb. trucker), and I have always been satisfied with the portions. The staff always gives healthy, appropriate portions.

Wondering if anyone else thinks this company is participating in embezzlement

They had my father on the wrong medication and when brought to their attention they didn't change it. Suffice to say he no longer there and the food was absolutely terrible. I felt my initial review was too short. My experience with this long term care facility was below satisfactory and I don't know where to begin. From my father's toe nails not being clipped, to random patients sleeping in his room, or being called by nurses to come talk to my father or she was going to call the police. I felt that Deerwood Creek Care were ill equipped to deal with patients who suffer from dementia and as soon as he left the facility, his perceived aggressive behavior was non existent. The doctors administered anti-psychotic medication usually used for people with schizophrenia but my dad suffered from dementia.

We would like to thank Sheetal at Woodbridge Vista for her perseverance at helping our mother in obtaining a quality wheelchair , desperately needed for her daily functions. Sheetal was extremely helpful in selecting the right type of wheelchair. We appreciate the support being provided by Woodbridge Vista for our mother Irena K. Sheetal you should be congratulated for your dedication to improve the quality of care of our senior citizens. You are a wonderful example of dedicated professional. Unfortunately,my experience has been a bitter one.The office and the owner are very rude.They take your money and send young just graduated nurses or PSWs who have little or no experience .On requesting an experienced nurse,they send us one from Simcoe Lake who had no interested in taking care of patient .Overall an disappointing experience.I would not recommend this company to anyone.
