Really decent place! The room was slightly dated, but the view and bed completely made it a non-point. The king bed was literally the most comfy hotel bed I've ever slept on. Plush and entirely luxurious after tent camping in the Olympic Nat. forest. Breakfast was quaint with plenty of hot & cold options. Staff was cheerful and seemed happy to help in any capacity. Pro-tip: Book your room through the Quality Hotels site for the best rates & room options. I was stunned at how affordable our "best view" king suite was. My only complaint was not the hotel's fault: late at night, a drunk hotel guest was being belligerent and loud in the parking lot. Once he settled down and went back in his room, everything was ok.

Keeping in mind you're in mill bay not the inner harbour Victoria. It's cozy and clean nothing elaborate. Nice views. Beach access. Outside is weathered but the insides have been given a bit of an update. I would recommend.

This place is beautiful! Right across the road from the ocean. Couple of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Definitely plan on coming back!

Not very good. Poor TV & Wi-Fi reception. No individual bedside lamps, etc. Good sea view however

Stayed there recently. Was very dissappointed with the shape of the entrance and lack of grounds upkeep. The attendant was flustered making check in more stressful. The room was dirty and hot and one little pillow for each person. Bathrooms need major upgrades. The view from the upstairs room was pleasent. Would not go back or recommend anyone to go their.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a lovely huge loft that could easily sleep 6. There's a fully-equipped kitchen and electric fireplace for both ambience and warmth. The views are spectacular - you can see all the way across the strait to Nanaimo. Wildlife is everywhere, and I loved watching the eagles. I was looking for a private getaway - and I found it here.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is. I was stranded up island when the Malahat Highway was closed to traffic. I called the Moon Water Lodge from Chemainus to ask if I could get there or if the traffic was blocked. She (I'm sorry I didn't get her name but I think she's the owner) gave me clear instructions on how to go through Shawnigan Lake as a detour around the traffic jam. When I arrived I was greeted like a long lost friend! The room was lovely! Not sure why the beds get a bad rap in some reviews. My bed was perfect and beautiful with big soft pillows and a fluffy comforter, all in white. The view is spectacular. The kitchen in the room was an added bonus and there was a kettle so I could make a perfect cup of tea without having to settle for tea made in the coffee maker. As soon as I was set up in my room, I walked next door to the restaurant and had a healthy and delicious dinner. Green salad with a side of grilled salmon which was yummy, well prepared and nicely presented. The staff were efficient and friendly. The owner gave me a good price on the room. I would recommend this owner for Small Business Person of the year. She certainly helped me out when I was in a jam. What could have been a night of sleeping in my small car turned into a luxurious and memorable experience in a good way! Thank you!

Neat place to stay even with current construction. Good location for access to both the North and South island.

The owner is wonderful, the hotel is quant and perfect for a romantic getaway.
