I rented the car online and went through all the points on the add. Paid the monies and received my confirmation email. In the email it said bring your drivers licence, booking and named credit card to collect. This is the 1st mention of credit card that noticed in the booking process... I called the help centre as I do not have a credit card (I think if you don't have the funds, don't buy it!) To enquire what options there are if you don't use credit cards. I have had to cancel my order as there is no option to rent if you don't use credit. I even offer to pay the holding monies in debit form on the day with the view of being refunded when returned in order. If damaged, you already have the funds.
I feel making people have a credit card in order to rent a car when I have all the funds and more in real currency is at the very least unfair and discrimination against my belief in a credit free world. Whilst I appreciate most people are ok with spiralling debt cards, I am not and save for my purchases. This may seem old school to some but I am greatful for this lesson taught by my grandparents and currently enjoy a debt free life.
I do question the amount of lost business from this process and even question the legality of refusing legal tender equivalent to the amount required.

UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AT HERTZ MARBLE ARCH.
We booked a car online 2 months ahead and when we went to pick up the car this morning we’re told the car is not available and have to pay double to “upgrade”. The one and only staff at the counter was absolutely arrogant and unhelpful. Travel plans totally messed up. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO LOSE A LONG TIME CUSTOMER HERTZ!

So back in April 2018 I booked/reserved the Jaguar F Type drop top for a wedding in June. Given that I reserved it way ahead of the event I thought I would get the vehicle of my choice. But unfortunately two days before the wedding they said the drop top isn't available but the hard top is. Naturally I was disappointed but I went for the hard top. I agreed with one of the sales team for the car to be delivered by 9am. But on the day of delivery it was delivered at 10am. It was a miscommunication because their office opens at 9am and it couldn't have been delivered at 9am. The representative that delivered the vehicle was dressed very smart and was very professional. He even gave the car a wipe down after he delivered it.
Because the vehicle of my choice was not available to my surprise they upgraded free of charge to the 5 litre supercharger model. This model is considerably more expensive to hire and I was really impressed that Enterprise did that. Also, from the get go they increased my mileage allowance from 200 miles to 400 miles free of charge as well on request. By the end of my time with an amazing vehicle I went over 400 miles but they were nice enough not to charge me for it. At this point I am already very impressed and pleased with their service. After they took the vehicle back the team manager emailed me to let me know that the vehicle has been returned in pristine condition and as an incentive for the inconvenience they caused me they threw in a 10% discount for my next hire with them. My vehicle became the main attraction at the wedding as well!
World class service at its best! With this level of high service customers will always go back. I know I will and I am looking forward to doing business with them next time.

I found these guys online. They had great prices to rent a car for a day (24 hours). We found the address on Google maps but it was wrong. It was in the marble Arch Q Park (I have Google send the right address). It is located at enterprise car rental.
I called and they explained me how to get there. When we got there they were so nice and polite! And for a nice price we got a fully insured car, which was maybe a few months old. They told us that we were just outside the payzone off London. So we could easily exit London, but if we wanted to go to the center we had to pay 12 pounds. They explained everything about the car and I was prepared to go for a drive.
When we returned te car they were curious where we went. When we told our story they were sincerely happy for us. They checked the car and deposit our money back on our accounts. We were really happy with the service and the car and if I ever come back to London and need a car. I will definitely stop by again!!!

I've hired so many cars and have only ever had one situation which was handled excellently. The car tyre warming light came on about a mile after I'd picking up the car, I planned to just go to a garage and put air in the tyre so I phoned them to let them know and they said "Come back and we'll sort another car" the replacement car was ready by the time I got back.
I highly recommend.
