We waited for 1 hour only to get to the counter. Then they could not find our reservation. Finally they requested a deposit of 350000 ISK from a credit card, even though we had a full insurance already that we bought online. We had to pay 75€ Euros to limit the deposit to 45000 ISK by buying an insurance we did not need. Such a rip off. Never again.

This carrental is the best in iceland. I am a icelandic tour guide and I use This carrental all the time. They have very good cars and the staff at this office is so friendly. This carrental have office's all over iceland so if there is something they are so clouse to you. Just drive save in iceland and find a good place to stop if you like to take a photo. There are to many accident in iceland.

Shuttle service is very useful. The overall rental experience was great. Good price, good service, simple pick up and drop off. I would recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely terrible! I would avoid unless you like paying nearly double the quoted and expected price. Traveling through the UK and Ireland on one trip, we booked everything weeks ahead of time to lock in the proper rates and vehicle. Started in London where we picked up the car, drove to Cardiff then Edinburgh and had no issues whatsoever. Everything was as it was expected to be and price matched the original quote. The Ireland (Dublin Airport pickup/dropoff) were and entirely different story. When I booked the rental through Hertz online I was quoted a price that was nearly half the final receipt. I did not return the car damaged and with my rate had unlimited kilometers, so I simply do not understand why I got charged nearly double for the final bill. When I booked it originally it was quoted at 318.27 Euros, however the final receipt shows a charge of 597.39 Euros. Why would the final charge be nearly double the quoted amount when the car was not damaged and was returned on time? I didnt have this issue in London/Edinburgh. I rented a car in London and drove to Cardiff then Edinburgh the week before, and had the car for 5 days as well and was charged the correct amount (254 pounds which is also about half of what I was just charged for this trip). I have rented with Hertz for years and generally praise the service as I have never had an issue until now. The extra charges were in relation to, Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection, Super Cover, Personal Injury. I've never had an issue previously with these because when I book it online I make sure to select exactly what I want, just as I did with both of the UK and Ireland rentals this time, but somehow I got charged for all of these things on the Ireland leg (and only the Ireland leg), which effectively doubled my expected cost. I called Hertz customer service to help and they opened a ticket, after some back and forth they reached out to this Dublin office directly to investigate the issue. Basically put, the Hertz at the Dublin Airport is a franchise location, which apparently means they can do whatever they want scamming people out of money and fooling people into thinking they are dealing with the Hertz they generally know and respect but are really dealing with a 3rd party that doesnt have to (or apparently want to) operate under a fair and customer friendly model. Shame on you Hertz for allowing this to go on, you're letting them drag your name through the dirt all the while appearing to do basically nothing about it. The should revoke the franchise for this location.

I rented the car online and went through all the points on the add. Paid the monies and received my confirmation email. In the email it said bring your drivers licence, booking and named credit card to collect. This is the 1st mention of credit card that noticed in the booking process... I called the help centre as I do not have a credit card (I think if you don't have the funds, don't buy it!) To enquire what options there are if you don't use credit cards. I have had to cancel my order as there is no option to rent if you don't use credit. I even offer to pay the holding monies in debit form on the day with the view of being refunded when returned in order. If damaged, you already have the funds. I feel making people have a credit card in order to rent a car when I have all the funds and more in real currency is at the very least unfair and discrimination against my belief in a credit free world. Whilst I appreciate most people are ok with spiralling debt cards, I am not and save for my purchases. This may seem old school to some but I am greatful for this lesson taught by my grandparents and currently enjoy a debt free life. I do question the amount of lost business from this process and even question the legality of refusing legal tender equivalent to the amount required. UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AT HERTZ MARBLE ARCH. We booked a car online 2 months ahead and when we went to pick up the car this morning we’re told the car is not available and have to pay double to “upgrade”. The one and only staff at the counter was absolutely arrogant and unhelpful. Travel plans totally messed up. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO LOSE A LONG TIME CUSTOMER HERTZ!
