J'avais loué pour la semiane une Dodge Grand Caravan. J'ai finalement eu une Chrysler Pacifica flambant neuve tout équipée. Tres heureux de ma location ! Aucune mauvaise surprise !

I visited to ask about the car rental. They were so friendly and kind. Also they gave me useful informations and their saying seemed to be professional. I am cosidering about renting a car here.

I wish I could give a 0 star! Absolutely dissatisfied with the services provided by the discount and especially this branch. Their staff lacked knowledge about the company's policies, and the customer service was the worst I ever received. I do not recommend discount to anyone and will not ever rent a car from them. On the day of rental, we reserved a small truck on the phone as we did not have a lot of furniture to move. However, when we got to the office, they told us that they did not have that type of truck and they rented us a bigger one. When we returned the truck, we waited for 10 minutes until they got back to us and they told us there is some damage on the side of the truck (see the attached image). Honestly, we did not realize anything happening to the truck while driving or moving the furniture and we only had the truck for 3 hours. After some arguments and based on the before/after pictures, we accepted to be responsible for the damage even though the damage could have happened in their parking lot while we were waiting for someone to get back to us. At the end, they asked us to pay $1500 for the deductible for such a small damage. When we told them why do we need to pay $1500 in advance before you assess the damage, they told us this is the company's policy! And when we asked them to show us the line on the agreement that says that, they failed to show us the line on the agreement that this money needs to be charged "before" the assessment by the insurance company. So, they charged us $1500 on a small scratch (something that might cost only $100 according to their own staff) before having the insurance assessment. Now, it's been more than 10 days and we have not heard back from them! I think this is a total rip-off and I regret renting a car from discount!

I strongly recommend staying away from Budget. To start, when we booked the car on the website, we chose an automatic transmission because my friend and I, who were the designated drivers, have never driven manual. When we arrived at the Budget counter at Keflavik airport, the receptionist informed us that the car reserved was manual. Nowhere on our confirmation did it say we reserved a manual car. We were charged extra for the automatic transmission AND, since they had no small automatic cars left, we were charged excess for Jeeps and vans. Next, the receptionist who started speaking to us very rudely told us that we could not rent the car without insurance even though we showed proof that we were already covered by our credit card insurance for up to 50,000 USD. We even offered to cancel the whole transaction and start over without the insurance, but she would not allow us to do so. So she forced us to pay for an insurance that I have already paid through my credit card. We wrote to them on these matters and they didn't compensate us at all. Terrible company and terrible service.
