Clean rooms. Good for long term stays.

Went to Potsdam to attend my nephews participation in Godspell at Clarkson University. Stayed here and was not disappointed. Very clean, bed comfortable, quiet and affordable. Easy walking to Walmart. Lots of wildlife in the area as evidenced by tracks. Breakfast - not so great. Store bought danishes, muffins, did have fresh fruit though - coffee - yuck. Warm and old. But that is minor as you can get breakfast anywhere.

Decent stay, hotel is well kept and clean. Wish the breakfast menu had more options but food was good. Great stay overall.

Standard Hampton Inn. Always a reliable comfortable stay decent amenities price for the area was a little high.

Clean, simple and friendly (and pet friendly). Quiet spot and easy to reach whether eastbound or westbound off the 401.

Nice motel back off the highway a bit with smaller rooms but reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and beds were a bit old and soft but adequate. Nice patios to sit on and enjoy a beverage along with picnic tables out in the yard. Owner was very accommodating when it came to checking out the rooms or providing ice etc.. Included breakfast was awesome, with home baked blueberry muffins and lots of other choices.

We can't say enough wonderful things about Maple Rock AND Audrey. What an incredible host! And Beautiful rooms and bathrooms! We had great conversations while she prepared scrumptious breakfasts for my husband and me for our three day stay. Super helpful with restaurant info and directions. We arrived late from Albany on an unusually cold, snowy and Icy night - she texted several helpful suggestions of how to get to them safely. So Helpful! She even lent a friend who had forgotten her car one of hers. I don't know when we'll be in Potsdam again but for sure we will be staying with Audrey. Don't Miss This!

Great place , great service

I attended a wedding at the August lodge and it was wonderful. The rooms are large and are all equipt with a small kitchen. The place has spunk and all the doors are painted differently. It has some breathtaking views and the staff is very friendly. The owner has a dog named chili that escorted me to my room and came down to dance with the wedding party. The lodge has a washer and dryer you can use, a pool, a hot tub, and a fire pit. There are also picnic tables and a community grill. The Continental breakfast wasn't super fancy but it was cute. There are baskets you can use to bring food back to your room if you don't want to eat with everyone. There is free coffee all day in the office. Has some hiking trails and is conveniently located near a tops, a dollar store, and multiple restaurants. I had a wonderful time and would suggest the August Lodge to anyone looking to get away.
