I signed up because of the "no contract" angle. The cost was $170.00 with monthly payments of $40+ I moved back to Calgary, phoned to cancel, only to find out about the hidden 60 day cancellation fee. This means that while there are no motion fitness locations near me, I still have to make 4 more membership payment's.
I discourage anyone from joining this gym, because of the hidden fees and dishonest sales people.

This gym is pretty standard. Nothing over and above from any other Goodlife. The air could also be better as it gets stuffy on warmer days

Open 24 hours. It’s great if you have a ufc membership as well because on a busy day you can cross over to the ufc side and take a class or work the heavy bags. Really clean, reception is super nice. Going here here definitely has some benefits.

Haven't been in a while unfortunately since we moved further away but I miss being close to this studio! This was the first yoga studio I ever went to and I felt really comfortable and like there was help for beginners. Great classes and great staff as well. The ambiance of the place is great too.

Wow, extremely pleased with my first experience with Spa Lady on 52nd Street in the NE. I haven’t had much faith in gyms and the lack of quality in group classes in quite some time. With my favourite yoga studio closing down, I needed to find a place to relieve stress, move body with a sense of community. Had my first Zumba class with Pam G and immediately was hooked. The energy, the music, movement, and the students were awesome. I felt welcomed and guided. The class was so much fun, and empowering. I look forward to checking out the other classes especially yoga!!! And the membership price that includes everything is the most affordable membership I’ve ever invested in.

YogaNation
8 Conway St ##140, Red Deer, Alberta, T4P 0G6, Canada
As a beginner Yogi I tried out a few different studios before I found Yoga Nation. What a breath of fresh air!
I signed up for the spring 30 day yoga challenge as step one towards getting back into shape at the age of 50, and for the purpose of strengthening my core, to help with a significant long term low back injury. I didn't plan on making 30 days straight, but to my surprise I made 18 days! And fell in love with hot yoga!
I found the poses were gentle enough to not cause further injury to my back but challenging enough that I knew I'd had a full body workout!! The heat was not overwhelming but hot enough to sweat like I never have before! This accomoodated my need to relax my muscles and my mind fully to relieve pain and help me sleep .
But what I really was most impressed with was the instructors! They guided every movement clearly, switching it up for those who could do more or less (like me). They were keen to remind us that our practice was not about our egos. But about paying attention to what our bodies are experiencing in that moment. That helped me put aside my natural need to challenge myself too much, which ALWAYS leads to further back pain. I also found them to be very knowledgeable and consistent, breaking down the poses and movements, showing us what the pose was targeting. It was easy to follow and learn that way. My favorite part though was that they spoke in that soft, calming voice that somehow made me feel both comforted and eager to keep trying at the same time. That encouragement led to me finally being able to do 'the airplane' without falling over on my last day. A great achievement!
As a beginner I felt I could attend any class, even the harder ones, because I knew the instructor would help me modify where needed.
I have complete confidence in recommending anyone, of any age, with any physical or mental challenges, to try out Yoga Nation!
Its not a franchise. It feels like family. You can tell how much the owners and staff put into this business. They greet you individually in the lobby, and are super welcoming people!!
I could go on, but I'm sure I'll run out of space!!
Except to say that the 18 days I put in that month did it's job! I feel better, stronger, more balanced, less pain, and the confidence I needed to keep me on my path.
Thank you all for challenging me, accommodationing my needs and not kicking me out when I was late by 30 seconds (I did that alot!).
I'll definitely keep going and highly recommend it to others.
