If I could give this place 0 stars, I would...My Grandmother stayed at Orchard Villa for approximately 2 years and it was by far the absolute worst experience. The residents were often left uncared for, for extended periods of time. It reeked of urine and the staff were uneducated and it was clear that this was simply a job for them and nothing more. My grandmother suffered a stroke in the night and they called me in the morning to notify me that she was refusing to take medication (no mention of a possible stroke). I went over to see if I could help and watched them force medication down her throat as she grunted and groaned in pain (at this point she could not communicate as the stroke had affected the left side of her brain). The same thing happened later in the evening so I returned and upon arrival, she looked like a zombie. The nurse turned to me and blatantly asked "do you think she's had a stroke?"...this was the beginning of the end of her life. The staff at Orchard Villa allowed my Grandmother to sit in her bed for well over 12 hours after having a stroke with no action. She passed away 11 days later. If you care about your loved ones, DO NOT send them to this place.

Good place

My wife Donna has now been in Peel Manor for 3 months. This place is very friendly, kept immaculately, the staff are alert and attentive. Our meeting with Dr. Earl and staff boosted our confidence that Donna is receiving the best of care.

After 15 years with Alzheimers and being cared for at home, Mom had such a rapid decline that the CCAC had not yet approved her for the crisis list, but we had to find somewhere fast as it had suddenly become too dangerous to keep her at home any longer. Sunrise in Oakville was that beacon of light in the darkness! Within a few short days Mom was safe and secure on their 'Memory Care' floor. That was only the beginning though of the care, concern and professionalism shown by the management and staff. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at this wonderful place, but especially to Bas Eldajani, Executive Director and to Andrea Simmill, Reminiscence Coordinator and all of the amazing staff on the 4th floor. Their dedication and compassion, visible every day, was truly remarkable and we will always remember their kindness.

The Oak Ridges Retirement Community is a beautiful place to live. Amazing amenities, including a pool, fitness centre, fine dining, pub, theatre and spa. Caring staff and a wonderful community of residents!

Mom passed away recently due to complications from Alzheimers. The care and compassion Mom received from the management and staff at Post Inn Village truly gave us comfort. Everyone we came in contact with at Post Inn Village made us realize she was in good hands. We would like to specifically mention the Social Service Worker, Sachan, the Senior Nursing Manager, Marina, as well as all the nursing managers, the Life Enrichment Therapist, Ryan, the Occupational Therapist, Cilesia, and all of the wonderful PSW's on the 2nd floor - Willow. Special mention must be made of the Lunchtime Kitchen Manager, Biljana. Biljana very quickly came to know what foods Mom would eat, the texture required, and she made every effort to ensure Mom had what she needed and her concern was evident. We continue to be very touched when we remember Biljana's interest in and caring for Mom and hope that all those who require memory care could experience the compassion of this wonderful team. My wife’s mother just past away two weeks short of age 95. She had been living at Chartwell Oakville for over three years. She absolutely loved living there. The food was always excellent and the staff were always very helpful and caring. You get genuine warmth and sincerity from all of the staff all of the time. They were heart broken when my mother in law died. The manager Drew is a prince and was always very respectful and bent over backwards to help. Mila in the front office is truly an angel who is always on top of what is going on. The staff in the wellness centre went far beyond what would normally be expected of any seniors residence. Simply stated, Chartwell Oakville is always kept impeccably clean and very well managed. It is worth noting that they are continuously updating the facility far beyond what one would expect which I found impressive. Deciding on the choice of a seniors home for a family member can be a difficult decision. Even after all of the research and tours it is still a gut wrenching experience. I am writing this review to help other people who are now in the position that we were in three years ago. Chartwell proved to be a wonderful decision that we never regretted. People make the difference and from the top down the staff here have the “right attitude” and genuinely care. Many thanks!

I've known the current owner of Home Care Assistance for more than 20 years. The dedication and compassion he brings to Home Care Assistance is undeniable. Anyone who is served by his professional team of highly experienced caregivers is indeed very fortunate. I highly recommend this company if you're looking for the right kind of care for a loved one at home.
