Hotel/Motel

For two nights at $500+ for the 2 queen beds, which is equivalent to staying at some of the local resorts, this place is WAY overpriced. The breakfast is redundant, and the ice machine is behind the counter and have to ask to have your room ice bucket filled back at the reception desk. Oh, the gas station about to be built in the backyard looks to "improve" the ambiance of the pool area.

Beautiful location. Lovely gardens and the hosts are so friendly. Rooms are clean and have comfortable beds. Parking on site. There is swimming in the river and a few minutes away from downtown Bracebridge.

This was our second time and our stay was absolutely awesome. The hosts could not be any nicer , Lana and Jim are extremely lovely people and their home is outstanding. Great stay.

Enjoyed it very much would certainly go back again. Very handy location for walking for meals shopping etc good access

Clean comfortable room. Don't count on their idea of "breakfast" to get you thru the morning. They should invest in a decent coffee maker and leave it at that.

Very muskokin.

Ok place. Clean rooms. Nice staff.

This hotel is a complete dump, I'd strongly advise anyone visiting to find another place. Poor heating and has not been maintained properly in years but they'll try to say different, I've got proof if you need to see it, feel free to find me on Facebook if you want to see how nice they say it is when it's not by any means. Thanks for nothing Star Motel, oh and feel free to contact the bylaw office in Gravenhurst for more info about this place as they have a file on them. Thanks for your time. Tom Isaac P.s. I'd rate this a huge zero but have to say at least one to post

Its just a building now. Wish they fix it up and rent it out.

Adorable place to spend the weekend

Very happy with our visit here. Nicely renovated room, comfortable and spacious. Great view, very clean.

Friendly staff and very clean room with parking right in front of our room. Air conditioner worked very well and we had a very comfortable stay. Not very fancy, but cleaner than some hotels I've stayed in.

We stayed in the unrenovated half of the hotel. The room was very clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The decor in the rooms is pretty outdated and our room in particular had an extremely unpleasant musty odour.

Clean, adequate bed, unmarkable room, decent restaurant. Maybe a little overpriced for being a bit out of town. No major complaints.

First class hospitality, excellent food with the on site restaurant, a stone throw away to Beautiful Mary Lake in the heart of Muskoka. Highly recommend & will definitely stay here again with the Family. Jim treats you like an old friend and clearly takes an enormous amount of pride in what he does! 5 out of 5 hands down!! Thank you Jim! ☺

Internet works good and very conterble and only 80$.

Great stay! Comfortable and quet rooms. Though, I wish they had EV chargers instead of "fuel efficient vehicle parking" as they were taken up by non efficient cars when I arrived.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. The beds are always comfortable and clean. I stay at this location often and I'm never disappointed.
