I dropped off a pair of earrings on 11/20/17 for a repair estimate, and was told the jeweler would contact me on 11/21/17 with the info. I waited patiently until today (12/4/17) and then called to inquire. They could not find my ticket and asked me if I was sure of the ticket number I just read to her. After a few more minutes my ticket was located, yes it was the correct number. I asked her why I had not been contacted and she was very nonchalant about it. No apology or concern about the customer who left an item in their care and never heard back and had to initiate contact. When I was in the store the same rep made a snide comment, but I ignored it as people can have bad days, but apparently that was indicative of the level of service they provide and should have been a warning sign. Sadly the only reason I went there was because Wagner Jewelers was closed. Never again.

I would like to say that Tom and the gang at Borthwick Jewelry in Ferndale are the best jewelers and some of the most honest and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure to know! Once again they have surpassed my expectations of what good customer service can be! I bought my wife an anniversary ring and then took it back in a week later to have some bands put on it! I like spoiling my wife LOL! Anyway they did a great job getting it all soldered together but unfortunately with it being rose gold and super soft it just wasn't up to there standards or ours and we all agreed. They did everything they could plus more to make me and especially my wife happy with another option, which is what she wanted originally anyway I just couldn't afford it and my buddy Tom made it happen!! all I can say is that I couldn't be happier with the end resolution and result! Happy Wife is a Happy life right? LOL :) If you dont like honest opinions and real customer service with genuine people that you wouldn't mind seeing outside of there place of business, then this might not be the place for you. They dont try to sell you the most expensive thing under the glass like the mall stores do! Let them know what you want or like and what your budget is and as far as I have seen and been a part of they make it happen, every time! Fantastic service from a locally owned jewelry store. Had a repair done here that turned out great and had a custom ring designed that we just can't get enough of.

So yesterday I was searching for gift for my girlfriend and I was blessed to be able to have such a wonderful sales associate named Alyssa. She really helped me out, she made items easier to find, she's a very knowledgeable person, great attitude, and it was simply a pleasure to do business with her. I personally believe with the outstanding job she does she deserves a raise or something. If you are ever in need of help dealing with jewelry, buying or fixing it she is the one to go to. She helped me a ton and i can't reiterate it enough of how much of a wonderful person she is, she truly is. I even had to find my brother and she used this intercom system to help me get reunited with my brother.So thank you so much for your wonderful service Alyssa.

Terribly rude people working today. Now I understand why my parents switched jewelers too. I’ll be doing the same. I need my ring resized and stones tightened. I certainly won’t be doing it through them even if it’s where the rings from. Outgoing happy salespeople do a much better job.

I went in to ask a question and was ignored until I turned to walk out.

Found what we were looking for. Quick and polite service.

Took 2 brushed silver rings in to be sized. When I picked them up they had been polished smooth. Told the person they were not correct and she said they would repair them and have them ready in a couple of days. Frustrating but I guess things happen (though you'd think a jeweler would notice details like that). Anyway, what really got to me was another employee (the one whom I dropped them off with originally) called and told me I was incorrect, that the rings were not the same and that one was polished and the other was textured. I bought these custom, as a set. I couldn't believe I was called and told I did not know what my rings looked like. And to top it all off, I was still charged full price when I picked them up. I was just looking at my rings today and I see that the bands are uneven in thickness and not very consistently brushed (there are some areas of shine still.) I do not recommend this place for even simple repairs.

Wow, this place is so cool! I've driven by here for months and didn't even realize until I dropped in today that it is an actual metal smithing school, teaching classes in blacksmithing and all types of jewelry making. Where else can you and your fiance go and learn how to make your own wedding rings? Thank you for keeping these dying arts alive, TMAC.

You can be sure about the quality of the jewelries you purchase at this place. There are also great people who can help you.

Though I haven't actually had an occasion to use their services, I did run into several employees walking by and was impressed by how friendly and professional they seemed. This business specializes in creating urns and granite markers for deceased persons and animals. The two dogs who seem to reside at the store were friendly, though the smaller one was a little barky at first.

Drew and Skip were a great help when choosing my fiances ring!! As well as giving me some pointers on adding bands to my ring!

Stopped in for a new watch battery. They were very busy (Valentine's weekend) but still managed to swap the battery in less than 15 minutes, for only $10! Kind and charismatic staff :)
