In 1952 I was 6 years old and wanted to buy a birthday present for my mother. My budget was 25 cents. I went into Lauener Brothers Jewellers and spoke to Mr. Bill Lauener. He selected a gift for her (I don’t remember what it was), put it in a Lauener Brothers box and accepted my 25 cents. In 1967 my parents gave me an Omega watch from Lauerner Bros for my 21st birthday. That watch is still ticking fine 55 years later. It’s heartwarming to know Lauener Bros is still in business after all this time!
