This jewellery store is a complete joke. Me and my fiance went into the store to sell some old gold she had just laying around, we had made a contract between us and the manager for the amount she had brought in. He then cancelled the cheque after she deposited it so she could not recieve the money they were suppose to pay her. She is now back in nova scotia with no way to make it right. This store is run by crooks and if i were you I would avoid it at all costs. I will personally stand infront of his store warning people of how crooked they are. If you see this post please share it everywhere! They will never have my business again and if i can help it, business from anyone else. We are going through legal actions because this is not right and should not happen. He broke the contract and stopped payment without contacting us in any way. He broke the law and i do not want to see it happen to anyone else.

My daughter worked here as a seasonal employee and loved her time here. The store is welcoming, well-stocked and all of the staff (managers and other employees) were great. Everyone is friendly, and my 9 y/o daughter loves shopping here. Great product and excellent selection.

These folks reduced my wedding band down by one size after I lost a bunch of weight. First off, it was quicker than promised. And second, the job was pretty much perfect. Thanks a lot guys.

Terrible service dealing with the manager. They messed up the bezel on my watch when I went to get the bracelet cleaned up. Honest mistake by the person who did the work, but the manager offered no refund or to have the bezel repaired. Instead told me I should go to Canadian Tire to purchase the materials to repair the watch myself. After fighting with the man for about half an hour he reluctantly conceded. Got the watch back and it was a piss poor effort of a repair. thought I'd get service done at Carat since I had bought the watch at a different carat location. Big mistake. DRIVE THE EXTRA DISTANCE AND GO TO A DIFFERENT CARAT JEWELERS.

Can I give zero stars?! Horrible experience. Went to see if my ring (from the states) could be looked at as I was advised by people's that a claw is loose. One woman claimed that with her naked eye she could see "a bunch" of work was needed. Another stated "if one claw needs work they all do". A series of rude and unnecessary questions were then asked such as "is this meant to be an engagement ring" and "did you find this" and "did someone buy this for you". Also appeared to have zero knowledge about anything as the ring is 4 years old (it's specialty made) was asked if it is vintage. When she stated she could tell it was "really old" I advised her it actually just needed cleaning and was ignored. I was asked what the clarity was and I wasn't sure and she was very condescending about it. Was finally advised that the goldsmith "couldn't work on platinum" within the store anyways. When I said I'd look elsewhere I was then told that "no one" works on platinum in the city. Even if that's true, I'll take my chances and go elsewhere!!

The staff who worked yesterday are rude!!!
