The manager there went above and beyond for us. We were not receiving a reply from the Pandora website for an exchange of a bracelet that we bought online that had broken within six months. She did not hesitate to provide us with store credit for the cost of the bracelet even though many other stores had turned us away with instructions to try web-support again.

First of all, never try to judge any company based on an overall rating score that is derived from years of people not doing enough research and having a bad experience based on how they approached their goal. Secondly, It took me 4-5 months to look for the right ring. I went from peoples, to Mappins (before it closed) to diamond company and to Raffi and to any where to be honest. Michael hill was the last place i thought to find a ring. I walked in knowing what i wanted and was very sure about my price range and didn't want to get man handled by any agent (like the way peoples or Diamond & Co does). I met Cathy and she instantly shown me that honesty, kindness and humor can go a long way. Whether its for a sale or not, you represent your company on all facets and she showed me a few options that were in my price range without pushing me towards something that i couldn't work with. When i tell you it took me 4 -5 months, it literally did because anyone i met at the stores (other than Michael hills) was either haste or really ignorant towards my demands. When i would try to leave those places they would literally grab my hand and say wait wait i can get you this ring (which was at 1700) to 1690. First of all that's not a discount and that's ridiculous if you are trying to keep someone there to offer a ridiculous reduction like that. Michael hill, speaks for itself, and the works there from Cathy to Prity know how to treat their clients with respect and patience. It still took me a day to think about the ring but once i went back in there, seeing their deals and discounts, was truly life changing. If you want the best service in Canada, and for the best price but still get a High quality, clarity, and color ring; look no further Michael hill has your back.

These guys are awesome. I had brought them old jewelry that’s was mostly broken but it all had sentimental value. Jerry was able make the most lovely bracelet for my sister and I. Think twice before going elsewhere. Jerry makes beautiful custom pieces!

Excellent full service. Such fast repairs. Both Jonathon and his dad are the best. His dad helped me today and have never been more impressed by his career/knowledge! Why would I go anywhere else?

Bad service. I never got help finding the sizes I needed (had i gotten help the display would not have ended up looking like a laundry pile). I got major attitude from the cashier when I complained about an item being dirty(filthy!!) I feel since the shelves are full of merchandice and it's so close to Christmas that the staff working there should have much better customer service. I also had to repair the item I purchased when I got home. I would have returned the item if it wasn't something my daughter had her heart set on. You can imagine I will be avoiding Ardene's!

This new store is like a jewel (pardon the pun) in our little town. The sparkling displays are set in beautiful decor, and staff are knowledgable, pleasant and totally comfortable in both English & French. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to find beautiful pieces for $50-$80, and the Christmas shopping experience is so much better than buying on line. Unless you need alterations, you can take your purchase home with you right away. I'm a very happy customer!
