This might be the only place that I give such bad rating. But the staff is really awful and unprofessional. You can get way better deals and service from other companies.

I rent from these guys usally once a month and have never had a problem. Always prompt and polite.

Amazing helpful and pleasant staff! No pushy upsell...just presented facts about insurance etc and then continued to provide amazing service. I had to drive to Moncton during a snow event and they were very helpful and made sure I had a great vehicle. a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again! by far the most positive rental experience I've had in a long time.

The office is situated in the station complex next to the Westin Hotel at the end of Hollis Street. We were very pleased with the Dodge Charger we had and the transaction was seamless and easy.

We booked a Q4 SUV (RAV4 or similar) online with Hertz for our Maritime Vacation because we would be taking one large suitcase and two carry-ons sized bags; stated capacity is 2x large suitcases and 2x carry-on sized bags. When we arrived at the Hertz Marriot Halifax rental location the clerk stated that the vehicle would be a Chevy Trax, but that we could upgrade for a cost. When I explained that we booked a RAV4 or similar vehicle she said that the Trax was; after driving it for two weeks it most definitely is not! The visibility flap in the trunk allowed only the large suitcase to fit, with the carry-ons going in the backseat. When we decided that we should just fold down the back seats, we found out that the seat bottom needed to sit behind the seat in order to allow the seat backs to fold down. This restricted the distance the front seats could be moved, while also preventing the transport of any other individuals. We are extremely dissatisfied with the attempt to upsell us when she could not deliver a suitable vehicle. Upon drop-off no attempt was made by the staff to rectify the issue when we voiced our displeasure. The only silver lining was perhaps slightly better gas mileage, maybe. Extremely dissatisfied with this experience at Hertz, especially considering that my experience with other rental companies has been much better!

Great service

They use other companies RVs and charge about 1000 more than the other company does. If you want to book an RV go to canadream and they will charge you less. I booked an RV with them from halifax to vancover and they charged 6.6k. I booked the exact same RV and distance with canadream and they charged 5.4k.

When I got there they rejected the insurance coverage I had purchased when renting the vehicle through Expedia, even though the coverage, through Allianz, a global provider, was far superior to their more expensive in-house insurance. They made me purchase their inferior insurance for a higher daily price; rip-off tactic. Second, I had reserved an F-150 Ford pick-up with a standard 6 foot bed. When I got there they only had a Toyota Tundra crew cab with a 5.5 foot bed, which did not work for me, and is not a similar vehicle, as they claimed. Save yourself the stress and expense, go elsewhere.

Everything was good except for the following: a) I completed the 'Check in' thinking I would go to the kiosk to pick up the car only to find I had to go to the counter - which was not staffed (at around 10 am) and stand in a long line up at National. b) I did not receive the vehicle I had booked and was not offered any one in the category I rented. c) Return was not staffed at 9 pm. Returned keys to the 'Drop off Box'.

Rental car was ready to go and every aspect was so well organized I was on my way in minutes. It was appreciated to have a well lit area to do the inspection. Finally, having a customer service person steps away in the booth was extra convenient when I had a question.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Santa Fe vehicle was very roomy and comfortable. I did not like the transmission, it would occasionally shift gears and decelerate or accelerate when in the city. No idea what was going on but it was very annoying fortunately the acceleration/deceleration was minimal with little impact to the speed of the vehicle. Never had the problem on the major multi-lane highways.

Easy peasy. They were super nice. Sorry I can't remember his name that helped me but he was very sweet. Rental for insurance purposes. Took long but only because everything that could come up did it was busy day for them....so just be patient. It all works out.

No fuss, they made collection & drop off easy at Halifax Airport :-)

Rented a jeep for 12 days. The process of renting the vehicle went very smooth. The rates offered were much more reasonable compared to local competitors.

Check in was a little slow because they only had one attendant and a couple of renter's, but check out was very fast and efficient. Will recommend. Sometimes they have deals and if you ask nicely, they might be able to upgrade you at no cost.
